General Role

  • The role is actively involved in the development of watch business for Hermès Horloger within Hermès Network and Hermès Horloger external network by a close and regular monitoring.
  • The Watch Development Executive helps have the best sales activities in line with commercial strategy in close cooperation with Assistant Manager of Watch Business Development, Merchandiser, Store Managers and Watch director.
  • Responsible for the commercial development of Hermes watch in China. Develops and implements business strategy through the daily operation, store training, etc.  Maximizes market opportunities, business growth which also aligns with the global direction and positioning of the brand. Coordinates with inter-departments to achieve business objectives and ensures the smooth workflow.

Main responsibilities

  • Communicates the product strategy and story behind the products lines to the retail staff in all Hermès boutiques and external doors and collaborate with them to achieve commercial objectives.
  • Works closely with Assistant Manager of Watch Business Development to set learning plan and develop training program to respond retail needs. Train the retail team to Hermès Horloger (products technicality, after sales service, competitors, …) activating in store training tools (morning brief, in store training, classroom training, etc…).
  • Support on development of business with external retailers. Drive and monitor sell in / sell out – control stock level and offering. Monitors and analyses product performance and sales trends by monthly. Prepare buying assortment and presentation for external stores for each podium / W&W.
  • Visit continuously external retailers and build strong relations with clients and store staff to better understand their needs and sales trends.
  • Analyses market trends, identifies current and potential market opportunities by conducting market research and competitors’ visits by monthly.
  • Support on animation or event implementation for both internal and external doors to ensure a smooth procedure and qualitative experience.

Objectives/Goals

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Fashion, Business or another related field
  • A minimum of 3 years’ applicable retail training/watch industry related experience
  • Good commercial touch
  • Proactive. Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships and foster teamwork with multiple levels/departments within the organization
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin.  French is a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office is required, especially in Excel & PowerPoint
  • Ability to travel as required
