    Job description

    Context

    You will be part of Hermès Perfume & Beauty Americas team, based in Miami, reporting to the Marketing Director and collaborating with the entire team.

    Miami office subsidiary markets are the US, South and Central Americas Travel Retail and South and Central Americas Local market. In the US, we also have the Hermes Stores with direct contact through HOP based in New York.

    In this context, your mission will be to support the marketing department in defining and implementing the marketing strategy and initiatives within the US local market.

     

    Main missions

    Marketing

    • Define the marketing strategy for the US Market along with the Marketing Director. 
    • Ensure the execution of the marketing plans in partnership with our local partners.
    • Ensure best positions possible and maximum ROI for the brand during activations.
    • Monitor, measure, and report the launches and animations effectiveness trough 360 reports.
    • Work closely with the e-commerce manager to align the trade strategy in B&M and online.
    • Have a strong understanding and interest in the digital and social media landscape within the fragrances and beauty industry.
    • Be responsible in preparing the marketing yearly budget.
    • Respect the marketing budget for all marketing activations and visual implementations.
    • Enter and monitor all marketing expenses in our internal MEO tool.

     

    Visual Merchandising

    • Define and implement the visual merchandising yearly strategy.
    • Provide the client with all merchandising information available.
    • Insure the perfect execution of the in-store visual merchandising strategy (visuals, collaterals, planograms).
    • Create generic planograms and custom-made planograms for the US Market.
    • Develop local Merchandising tools when needed.

     

    Forecasting

    • Present the projects to the local teams.
    • Build the fragrances & beauty forecasts for novelties and promotional items along with the Marketing.
    • Director, the commercial team, the operations teams and the agent.
    • Provide recommendations based on the market competitive information.
    • Build the annual forecast of the core catalogue (salable and POSM).

     

    Events/Meetings

    • Travel to New York City on a quarterly basis to meet with our local agent and attend the business reviews and market visit.
    • Be a key player in the preparation of the US market business reviews, main meetings and budget meetings.
    • Be responsible for preparing the agenda and content of each meeting. Prepare a meeting summary, propose an action plan and follow-up.
    • Do live presentations for the US agent and retailers for key launches and main marketing initiatives.

     

    Market Visits

    • Visit the US market on a regular basis and issue reports and recommendations following each market visit.
    • Be responsible for competitive survey and pricing survey in the US Market.

     

    Business Analysis

    • Be responsible for the analysis of the sell-out performances per retailer on a monthly basis.
    • Provide Ad hoc analysis, recommendations and action plan along with the Area Manager.

     

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s in Business or marketing. MBA is a plus.
    • 5 years experience.
    • You have a previous marketing experience within the Prestige/Luxury industry: experience in the 3 categories is preferred: fragrances, Make-up & Skincare.
    • You have a demonstrable understanding of the retail landscape in the US Market.
    • You are very analytical, organized and have strong management skills.
    • You are multi-tasker and are detailed oriented.
    • You are curious about products, client behavior and competitive landscape.
    • You have the ability to work on a small team and to adapt to a dynamic environment
    • You are Team player with the ability to build, foster and nurture relationships with members of cross functional teams.
    • You have excellent written and oral communications.
    • You are Fluent in English (required).
    • You speak French (French is a plus).
    • You are proficient in the use of MS office programs: Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Photoshop and Outlook, required.
