General Role

Establish China creative team, under the guidance of HI Communication Creative Director to coordinate with the Creative Department in head quarter to create and produce exciting and surprising communication content to serve the needs of communication activities.

Main responsibilities

  • To design, implement and guide clear, comprehensive & collaborative creative ideas in multimedia forms include images, movies, digital assets, events, etc.
  • Develop the concept and idea expression in sketches, storyboards, screenplays, layouts, typesetting, images, text/image ratios, scene design, music, live performance, interactive experience, material selection, and manufacturing based on creative visions.
  • Understanding strategic positioning, challenge and target audience of the brand and subsidiary to propose creative concept that will convey information, makes a "creative leap", puts forward an idea and a concept, and supervises its realization.
  • To Ensure the effectiveness of the tool to convey the family information to the designated audience, also ensure the development and production quality of ideas to maintain high standard in delivery result.
  • To search and recommend external talents include directors, artists, illustrators, photographers, designers, stage designers, etc to headquarter and local communication team to establish external talent pools for China.
  • Coordinate and partnership with headquarter and local communication team to brief, accompany and closely supervise the work progress of the selected talents.
  • Anticipate in strategic thinking to fully understand the objectives of the tool and message to be conveyed.
  • Sensible and seek to influence changes in audience behavior through ideas, creativity and the use of media. Uncovering new ways to incorporate emerging and new media formats into creative projects. Stay on top of all trends and maintain best practices.

 

  • Team Management
  • Define the team structure with Communication Director.
  • Coach, motivate and manage the team member to improve maturity and professionalism to meet company’s expectation on quality of delivery result.
  • Manage the training, travel arrangement, and leave plan of creative team locally.
  •  

    • Budgets & Reports:
  • Develop and manage the annual budget plan include communication budget and T&E of creative team.
  • Manage the purchase application, payment process according to company policy.
  • Prepare and submit reports.
  • Profile

    • University above degree, preferably in art direction, art or creative design background.
    • 8 years above of art director experience in creative or advertising agency.
    • Native Mandarin speaker with fluent command of English in both oral & written.
    • A good leader and team-player who is passionate for art direction and creative work.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skill, confidence to explain and present thinking and ideas with internal and external parties
    • The ability to generate a reliable supply of original ideas and visual concepts
    • A keen eye for visual details and accuracy  
    • Resilience to perform under pressure and deliver high-quality work to tight deadlines.
    • Good knowledge and awareness of digital media and evolving online platforms, familiar with typography, image manipulation, illustration and animation.
    • Proficient in computer skills of InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator or other visual design and tools.
