WHO ARE WE?

Hello Tomorrow is on a mission to accelerate radical solutions based on new technologies (deep tech) to improve human and planetary health.

We are an international team of 35 people in Paris (13 different nationalities!), with hubs in several other countries, and the largest deep tech network worldwide.

WHAT WE DO?

• We build and animate a collaborative ecosystem of deep tech startups, VCs, and corporates → We power startup competitions and acceleration programs worldwide. Our flagship competition, the Hello Tomorrow Global Challenge, received over its last 8 editions more than 25,000 applications from 132 countries.

• We run the biggest deep tech events → The Deep Tech Days are the point of reference in deep tech events, bringing together startups, investors, and corporations. The Global Summit is the epicenter of our ecosystem, attracting thousands of participants every year looking for inspiration and business opportunities, and dozens of sponsors.

• We provide strategy & innovation consulting → Leveraging our expertise and startups from our network, we are pioneering new approaches to help companies understand how deep tech will impact their business, and launch new solutions to strengthen or diversify their business. Our consulting activity is growing quickly, doubling every two years.

WHAT WILL YOUR ROLE BE?

The role is highly transversal, and the successful candidate will get to work in startup evaluation, consulting projects, and thought leadership with corresponding teams:

Evaluate startups in your area of expertise, working with the Hello Tomorrow Challenge team (~25% of your time):

● Lead the assessment of early-stage, science-based startups from the Hello Tomorrow Challenge and Deep Tech Pioneers application process (the most important criteria are technological innovation, impact, business model, and team), particularly in the following categories: “Advanced Computing & Electronics,” and “Digital Health & Medical Devices.”

● Support the selection of finalists of the Hello Tomorrow Challenge.

● Help Hello Tomorrow partners such as accelerators or corporations in analyzing and evaluating startups or internal venture projects.

Take part in consulting projects with public institutions and industry leaders, adding an expert role within the Consulting team (~50% of your time):

● Source and present relevant startups/technologies for client cases, in particular but not limited to Startup Challenge (call open to startups bringing solutions to client business or operational challenges).

● Present trends in your sector, general or custom to a client’s business, during workshops or “Learning Expeditions.”

● Take part in technology & market exploration, looking into opportunities that could be enabled by technologies, the roadblocks to unlock to scale those technologies and its potential for our clients. This would come from in-depth analysis of the white papers, patents and startups profiles.

● Coach startups that take part in some Hello Tomorrow programs.

Stay up to date about latest technological breakthroughs, and produce content with other experts and the Content & Marketing team that would contribute to maintaining Hello Tomorrow’s thought leadership in deep tech and especially in your domain of expertise. (~20% of your time):

● Identify the latest technology trends and their applications based on the startups that you will

evaluate, and other relevant sources of information such as academic publications, conferences, etc.

● Produce content, such as articles, trends reports, infographics or webinars, in coordination with the marketing team.

● Help build the program of our flagship events (select relevant topics and identify potential speakers in your field of expertise).

External expert Network (~5% of your time):

● Help build and grow an “Expert Network” for Hello Tomorrow in your domain of expertise.

● Assess external experts that will be involved in Hello Tomorrow’s activities.

You will be able to grow with Hello Tomorrow and will have opportunities to take more responsibilities and shape the evolution of your job.

● Ph.D. and experience at the intersection of life sciences (e.g. Molecular Biology, Biochemistry,

Pharmacology, Biomedical Engineering, Medical Physics, Computational Biology etc) and AI (e.g. foundational, generative or predictive AI, machine learning etc) is required.

● Experience in healthcare (e.g. medical devices or drug development incl. clinical trials) is desired.

● Experience in corporate, start up, regulatory affairs or consulting is preferred.

● Experience in evaluating life sciences & healthcare startups is a plus but not required.
