Hello Tomorrow is looking for an intern to support their business development team and help with lead generation, campaign management, partnership development and coordination for Hello Tomorrow’s deep tech consulting and event activities.

We can’t wait to welcome YOU, passionate about emerging technologies and innovation, and willing to put your strong communication and listening skills at the service of Hello Tomorrow’s mission: accelerate radical solutions (from startups and corporates) based on new technologies to improve human and planetary health.

You will be responsible for contributing to Hello Tomorrow’s sales from lead generation to closing, as well as improving the sales cycle based on a tracking of its performance.

To help ease the task at hand, you will be able to rely on an already established strong inbound marketing, based on Hello Tomorrow’s thought leadership in deep tech.

Hello Tomorrow is on a mission to accelerate radical solutions based on new technologies (deep tech) to improve human and planetary health.

We are an international team of 35 people in Paris (13 different nationalities!), with hubs in several other countries, and the largest deep tech network worldwide. We organize leading events in deep tech, inspiring and connecting thousands of people every year. In the last 4 years, we have also developed a fast-growing and impactful strategy and innovation consulting activity.

WHAT WE DO

We build and animate a collaborative ecosystem of deep tech startups, VCs, and corporates → We power startup competitions and acceleration programs worldwide. Our renowned annual competition, the Hello Tomorrow Global Challenge, has received more than 25,000 applications from 132 countries over the last 8 editions.

We run the biggest deep tech events → The Deep Tech Days are the point of reference in  deep tech events, bringing together startups, investors, and corporations. The Global Summit is our flagship event, attracting thousands of participants every year looking for inspiration and business opportunities, and dozens of sponsors.

We provide strategy & innovation consulting → Leveraging our expertise and startups from our network, we are pioneering new approaches to help companies understand how deep tech will impact their business, and launch new solutions to strengthen or diversify their business. Our consulting activity is growing quickly, doubling every two years.

YOUR FUTURE ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

Every team member at Hello Tomorrow has a huge impact on our strategy and mission. Your mission will be to identify and develop new business opportunities, maintain successful relationships with prospects, generate new sales to contribute to our growth, and maximize business reach and potential.

Reporting to Hello Tomorrow’s Head of Business Development and in coordination with our business and marketing teams, you will:

  1. GENERATE AND QUALIFY LEADS AND PARTICIPATE IN THE SALES CYCLE UNTIL THE CLOSING OF THE CONTRACT

Objectives

  • Generate leads by leveraging all resources available (see below) and qualify them before onboarding the different heads of business units, if needed.

  • Coordinate with the marketing team to develop targeted business development formats such as breakfasts, webinars, etc. Also prospect our targeted personas to invite to webinars and other events.

  • Find and reach out to relevant decision-makers within target companies.

  • Help close complex and bigger offers in coordination with the Head of Business Development and/or the heads of other business units.

Resources provided

  • Marketing content such as reports or speakers on our webinars to attract leads.

  • CRM (currently Copper but open to changing it).

2) HELP IMPROVE THE SALES ACTIVITY

Objective

  • Be proactive to suggest improvements of Hello Tomorrow’s sales environment (pitch and offers, CRM, weekly meeting, new tools to add to our technical stack to prospect more efficiently etc.)

  • Support the Head of Business Development in the preparation of the weekly and monthly sales meeting, held with the Heads of business units (Consulting Directors, Head of Investor & Startup Communities, Head of Marketing and Communications, and the CEO) to define monthly activities to reach and over achieve our targets.

  • Support the Head of Business Development to measure, analyze and present KPIs and key insights to improve the sales activity.

  • Tools to improve the sales performance tracking.

3) CONTRIBUTE TO THE CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT OF OUR SERVICES

  • Continuously collect and analyze feedback from our leads and our discussions with them.

  • Share feedback with the relevant teams to help them design and improve their offers.

Preferred experience

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • You are eligible to receive a convention de stage.

  • You have experience in business development/sales experience.

  • You have a good knowledge of mailing, lead generation and targeted outreach.

  • You have a good knowledge of B2B lead generation, qualification methods (such as BANT or MEDDIC,) and growth hacking techniques.

  • A proven track record in selling offers is a plus.

THE MUST-HAVE ASSETS YOU’RE BRINGING TO THE TEAM:

  • You are a quick learner, organized, proactive and autonomous on the activities you already master.

  • You have excellent listening and negotiation skills.

  • You are deeply driven by the value you bring to (potential) clients and enjoy building work relationships.

  • You have excellent presentation and conversational skills in both French and English.

  • You are driven by data-based results, measuring KPIs and making decisions based on them.

  • You are happy to be in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.

  • You are comfortable making cold and warm calls, and driving new discussions. Most importantly, you never ever give up!

  • You are happy to constantly interact and collaborate with other people in the team.
