The position

Job description

The IT Budget Manager builds the Europ Assistance Holding IT Budget and consolidates IT Group IT Budget. He defines IT budget processes and ensures quality and accuracy of reported IT Financials. He provides regular reporting and ad-hoc analyses on IT spend, and follows-up IT Actuals against Budget. He provides guidance on IT cost model.

Main Responsibilities

1.Animate the IT Budget and reforecast process

Prepare planning and instructions for budget and forecast collections

Ensure entities report their IT budgets on time with the appropriate level of quality and alignment between Cash and P&L view

Streamline and improve IT budget process

Follow up global IT costs

2.Build and follow up Europ Assistance Holding IT Budget and Actuals

Organize IT budget collection at Europ Assistance Holding

Ensure consistency and quality of the Holding IT budget

Contribute to rebilling process of central IT costs to entities jointly with Finance and Legal teams

Monitor Actuals against Budget for Holding IT Teams and provide alerts on budget deviations

Contribute to Quarterly closings jointly with Finance

3.Build and issue regular and ad hoc budget reporting and analyses

Build the regular IT reportings on IT Financials eg : Global Budget presentation, reporting to Generali, Monthly Flashboard, …)

Answer to ad-hoc requests on IT Budget

4.Own and maintain the IT cost model

Maintain documentation on the IT Cost model

Periodically review and propose amendments to the IT Cost model

Ensure Entities CIOs have a good understanding and usage of the IT Cost Model

5.Contribute to major programs and IT spend relating projects

Monitor IT expense savings programs

Provide expertise on building Business Cases for major Group Programs


Preferred experience

§  Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, or in Financial IT controlling

§  5 to 10 years of experience in equivalent position

§  Extensive experience working in relationship with IT teams in a company with a solid understanding of technology

§  Strong experience in manipulating number and relating tools (Excel, Power BI, …)

§  Ability to build clear and self-explanatory powerpoint presentation

§  IT acumen and interest of impact of technology on the follow-up of IT cost (eg Saas costs, Finops, …)

§  Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, strong influencer at all levels

§  Has a high degree of work ethics and leads by example

Fluent English needed for this role (written & spoken)
