The position

Job description

We are looking for a motivated, creative and student-focused Marketing & Communication Intern to support the promotion of TOEFL iBT® in Germany and the wider Central & Eastern Europe and Nordics (CEEN) region. You’ll help shape campaigns, create content and brainstorm ways to connect with students in a way that resonates with their world.

This role is perfect if you love thinking like a student, spotting trends and finding fresh ways to make education exciting.

The candidate must be based & study in Germany

Main Duties

Germany-focused tasks:

  • Support development and execution of localized marketing campaigns

  • Coordinate on-the-ground campaigns with universities, test centers, language schools, student organizations and events

  • Assist with social media content and influencer partnerships

  • Conduct market research on student trends, education needs, and competing language tests

  • Help manage relationships with universities, test centers, language schools, and student groups

  • Drive awareness initiatives: campus outreach, student events, partnerships, and localized digital activities

  • Support lead nurturing via email campaigns and newsletters (content coordination, scheduling, follow-up)

  • Track campaign performance and prepare basic analytics reports

  • Assist with event organization: webinars, campus visits, workshops and student fairs

CEEN regional tasks:

  • Assist with coordinating marketing and communication efforts across CEEN countries

  • Support cross-country digital campaigns and social media initiatives

  • Maintain communication with partners, agents and institutions in CEEN countries

  • Contribute ideas to improve TOEFL iBT® visibility across diverse education systems

Education / Job requirements / Skills

Required:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Passionate about education, student engagement and digital media

  • Creative, proactive, detail-oriented and curious

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.

Preferred:

  • Experience with design & video tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) and email marketing platforms (e.g., HubSpot).

  • Basic understanding of digital marketing tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Hootsuite).

  • A proactive, can-do attitude with a willingness to learn.

Language required

  • Excellent communication skills in English and German
