🚀 Your mission

We’re looking for a highly-skilled Full Stack Engineer to lead one of our tech teams in Paris.

You’ll be leading the team developing the web app our customers use to manage, launch and investigate their security test and results. Managing a dedicated team of 3 engineers, you will report directly to the CTO. You will help identify and solve complex problems and ensure that our codebase and shipping speed are of industry-leading quality.

👩‍💻🧑‍💻 As an Engineering Team Lead at Escape, you’ll

Leadership

• Oversee and mentor a growing team of 3 young outstanding engineers, setting performance metrics and conducting regular one-to-ones

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define the technical roadmap

• Ensure alignment between tech architecture, engineering practices and company-wide objectives

• Actively contribute to the global product vision to build a product users want and enjoy using

Technical

Frontend

• Develop high-performance UIs with Svelte, ensuring optimal user experience and accessibility

• Use GraphQL for efficient data querying, enabling highly responsive applications

• Implement automated testing suites for Single Page Applications using tools such as Jest or Mocha, enhancing reliability and speed of deployment

Backend

• Architect, build, and optimize GraphQL APIs for scalability, leveraging Pothos and Prisma

• Use PostgreSQL to design efficient and secure databases

• Create and maintain event-based distributed systems using Kafka, ensuring high performance and reliability

DevSecOps

• Conduct and supervise code reviews, automated testing, and ensure SOC-2 compliance

• Manage and optimize CI/CD pipelines, focusing on GitLab CI

• Work closely with our DevSecOps to optimize system reliability, and security.

Experience

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

• Minimum of 6 years experience in Full Stack Development with at least 2 years in a management role.

• Expertise in modern front-end Node.js frameworks.

• In-depth experience in backend development using Node.js and GraphQL

Bonus Points

• Extensive experience with cloud-based CI/CD pipelines

• Demonstrated leadership in a sprint-based project management environment

• Prior experience in scaling cloud-based applications

Skills

• Fluent in English, comfortable with French

• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills

• Proven ability to mentor and cultivate skills within a team

• Rapid learner with the capacity to adapt to new technologies and environments seamlessly
