Your future responsibilities

EasyMile has new projects and the R&D team is growing! You will support the Director of Software Engineering to scale up our development teams. Our software is deployed on the field several times a year, running everyday on our vehicles worldwide.

You will manage part of a team of about 70 R&D software engineers and PhDs that deliver state-of-the-art autonomous software components for driverless vehicles.
You will be involved in the definition of the technical roadmap and in charge of delivering software components to our internal customers.

To achieve your objectives, you will:

• Manage your teams : grow engineers through skills mentoring and career-path guidance
• Define and fulfil the engineering hiring plan for the team, including sourcing, screening, and interviewing
• Animate technical roadmap and direction of the software components you are responsible for
• Ensure, in collaboration with your Product Owners, the features as defined in the product roadmaps are delivered according to their priorities and plans

You will collaborate with cross functional teams: Solution Architects, other software components, Integration, Validation, Products, Deployment and Support.

You have a proven ability to grow and guide a development organization through productive critique, evangelism, guiding, training, learning, and coaching.
Your experience of delivering software with right content, right quality and right timing is essential.

We are looking for:

• Minimum 10 years of experience building and delivering business embedded software
• Minimum 5 years of experience in team management
• You have retained a legitimacy of expertise even though you are not coding anymore, and are still able to influence technical choices
• You are not dogmatic and you act with an open mind as you value a collaborative working environment and don’t want to stifle it or raise communication or relationship walls
• Fluency in both French and English

Desirable:

• Working experience in robotics would be a great plus
• Working experience in agile methods
