Working in the tech team at Doctolib involves building innovative products and features to improve the daily lives of care teams and patients.

 

What you'll do

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our Patient Services domain and help us become the #1 digital and secure medical companion for patients.

More specifically, you'll join the Patient App Experience team responsible for enhancing patient communication and messaging experiences, building on the platform's current reach of more than 80 million accounts. Providing the best in class user experience, quality, and security of the messaging features that connect patients with healthcare providers.

As a Software Engineer, you will work within a team composed of full stack, mobile, and back-end engineers to develop features that enhance communication between patients and doctors such as messaging, teleconsultations, and notifications while handling millions of daily events.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Collaboratively design, implement and maintain high quality solutions delivering value to our users.
  • Implement best practices to maintain and improve high standards for engineering and operational excellence.
  • Contribute to the modularization of the team’s domain enabling Doctolib to scale.
  • Proactively monitor the system’s reliability within your team’s scope by defining SLIs and continuously enhancing alerts.
  • Consistently collaborate with other teams, to effectively manage dependencies and mitigate uncertainties.
  • Demonstrate autonomy, particularly when testing changes, by independently validating your work to ensure robust and reliable solutions.

 

Who you are

  • You have at least 3+ years of software engineering experience. Our stack is Javascript/Typescript, Ruby on Rails and Java/Kotlin but any experience with similar languages is welcomed and valued. Knowledge of React Native is a plus.
  • You are proactive, curious, collaborative and eager to learn
  • You have a good understanding of web technologies and software development life cycle
  • You have a “user first” mindset and want to build a product focused on bringing value to its users, through secure, well-tested and pragmatic code.
  • You are very focused on code quality and have a rigorous testing culture
  • Are comfortable speaking English in your day by day with the team
