The position

Job description

 

As a Senior Staff Engineer, you’re going to join our Architecture team. The team plays a crucial role in developing the backend technologies that support our engineering organization. You will work on various tech topics towards building our foundational tech frameworks and libraries (dependency management, observability SDK, Asynchronous Task framework…).

What you’ll do

As a Senior Staff Engineer you will be responsible for:

  • Taking leadership of delivering components and frameworks used by other Doctolib engineering teams
  • Contribute on setting technical vision and defining the roadmap for the next quarters
  • Implementing changes in Java and possibly Ruby and Typescript
  • Joining us on our quest to continuously improve the way we work 

Who you are 

We’re on the lookout for a professional who is proactive, involved, curious, and collaborative and who’s interested in the platform and core backend challenges .   • You have at least 10+ years of software engineering experience
  • You have strong technical writing skills on Backend development and Platform knowledge 
  • You are an effective communicator and as a Senior Staff, you are able to operate on different side projects, interacting with different feature teams
  • You have a “user first” mindset and want to dedicate yourself to creating technologies and solutions which will enhance the day to day work of our engineers
  • If you already have experience in a Platform team that would be a great plus
