We are seeking a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our growing commercial team. This is an opportunity to join a cutting-edge biotech startup and play a crucial role in expanding our customer base across North America. 

💼 Your Role 

As a Sales Development Representative, you’ll be the first point of contact for prospective customers — understanding their needs, introducing them to SYNTAX, and setting the stage for successful partnerships. You’ll work hand-in-hand with field sales to drive growth and revenue. 

🎯 What You’ll Do 

• Qualify inbound leads and conduct targeted outbound outreach 
• Engage prospects via phone, email, and virtual demos 
• Translate complex molecular biology concepts into customer-focused solutions 
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and technical teams to deliver value 
• Maintain clean, accurate CRM data to support pipeline growth 

🧬 You Bring 

• Bachelor’s in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or related field 
• 2+ years lab experience (e.g. synthetic biology, genomics, qPCR, NGS); sales experience a plus 
• Ability to quickly grasp and explain technical concepts 
• Excellent communication skills — confident, curious, and persuasive 
• Self-starter mindset with a strong drive to exceed goals

• Experience in life science sales or inside sales roles 
• Familiarity with CRM tools and lead generation platforms
