As DHL IT Services continues to grow, it creates new opportunities, and you never get bored with it.
I work on several projects. I like that I can see the real impact of my work both on a regional and a global scale.
Deutsche Post DHL, the world’s largest logistics company with the distinctive yellow-red logo needs no introduction. Even though they are a part of it, you will not find any packages here. In DHL IT Services, they provide IT services to all divisions of Deutsche Post DHL: DHL Express, DHL Supply Chain, DHL Global Forwarding & Freight and Post, e-commerce & Parcel. They are a global IT organization with two key data centers – one in Kuala Lumpur/Cyberjaya (Malaysia) and one here in Prague.
In the Prague data center in Chodov, they support the daily activities of the entire Deutsche Post DHL and work with comprehensive IT infrastructure, including networks, databases, hardware, operating systems, and applications. They emphasize innovation and in their Digital Lab, they focus on new technologies in the area of machine learning and automation. Besides the state-of-the-art technologies, they also work with others one might no longer encounter on a regular basis. One such example is the programming language COBOL which originated in the 60s.
They also care about parents and their careers. They advise future moms and dads about everything to which they are legally entitled. Through the Family portal, they keep in touch with them during parental leave, help them with the return to work and offering opportunities to work part-time or flexible hours.
They know that good health is an essential aspect of a productive working environment. They offer flexible work hours with possibility of home office. They support sports activities among their colleagues and offer them the opportunity to get their health checked by professionals during regular Health days.
Volunteers among them offer a long-term help to organizations such as children homes, pediatric oncology centers or social service centers, which they fully support. They also focus on environmental protection and they annually plant new trees in different areas of the Czech Republic.
The Chodov office employs more than 1650 employees of 67 nationalities. They value one another and their multicultural environment which helps them constantly move forward. You can start working with them as a student and develop your career. While cooperating with more experienced colleagues, you will have the chance to work on exciting projects from the very beginning and make use of many opportunities in education as well as in personal and professional development.
