ABOUT YOUR ROLE 

Descartes Underwriting is seeking a Marketing & Communication Project Manager to join our Marketing & Communication Team. You will report to the Head of Marketing & Communication and be a key contributor to the deployment of internal and external communications strategy by owning the production of contents related to Descartes. The applicant will be in close and effective cooperation with all business units and play a vital role in the following activities.

Your responsibilities would include:

Your main goal is to collaborate with the Marketing & Communication Team to implement Descartes’ communications strategy based on our target audience across our key global markets.

COMMUNICATION PROJECTS

• Be in charge of the Brand management and seek opportunities to enhance the reputation of the brand through content creation across new and existing channels, awards application...;
• Write, edit, and distribute high quality content, including press releases, newsletters, website content, talking points, that communicates Descartes’ activities, aligned with Descartes’ ecosystem (start-ups, insurtechs, ...);
• Be a key player in PR (Media relationship, press market watch, ...).

MARKETING PROJECTS

• Play an active role in the implementation of local and global emailing campaigns by defining the targets, writing messages and contents with the support of different Hubs and Growth marketing manager;
• Align the needs and information with the different Hubs all over the world (local adaptations of the contents, implementation of campaigns, ...);
• Ensure that written content is well positioned for SEO under the guidance of the Growth Marketing Manager.

ABOUT YOU 

 EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

• From 5 to 7 years' relevant experience combining both BtoB marketing and BtoB communications activities;
• Master's degree in marketing or/and communication or/and journalism or related field;
• Ability to search and source information internally;
• Ability to build and foster relationships with journalists, to coordinate between several contacts and to manage several projects simultaneously;
• Proficient in Google Docs, Google Slides, Microsoft Office, social media platforms, as well as HubSpot (preferred).

• Fluency in English and French is required (written and spoken);
• Strong appeal for drafting to nurture our different channels;
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to make innovative proposals;
• Eye for quality, autonomous and attention to detail;
• Exercise rigor and organizational skills.
