The position

Job description

We are seeking a Data Scientist (Junior) with a strong foundation in applied AI and a real curiosity for advanced systems such as Large Language Models (LLMs).

As a Data Scientist at D&M, you will:

Support LLM development 
Assist in training, fine-tuning, and evaluating large language models for specialised business tasks.

Contribute to Agentic AI initiatives 
Work with senior team members to design and test multi-agent systems able to plan, reason, and orchestrate data workflows.

Experiment and learn 
Prototype new ideas, analyse performance, and contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing.

Apply analytical thinking 
Use statistics, probability, and optimisation to build robust, explainable models and evaluate their results.

Drive insights 
Turn raw data into clear visualisations and actionable recommendations for strategy and product teams.


Preferred experience

Foundations in AI / ML 
1–2 years of experience in data science, analytics, or applied ML. 
Good understanding of regression, classification, clustering, and basic NLP. 
Proficient in Python (Polars, scikit-learn, NumPy) and familiar with deep-learning frameworks (PyTorch / TensorFlow).

LLMs & Agentic AI (bonus) 
Interest or first-hand exposure to LLM APIs (GPT, Claude, Mistral, etc.) or frameworks such as LangChain or CrewAI.

Data Infrastructure 
Experience writing SQL queries, cleaning datasets, and working with data

Version control system(Git)

Knowledge of version control is essential to work on cross functional features.

Mathematics & Modelling 
Solid grasp of statistics and probability. 
Ability to interpret model outputs and communicate uncertainty.

Mindset 
Curiosity, precision, and eagerness to learn from senior peers. 
Comfort working in a fast-moving, collaborative environment.

Nice-to-have 
Experience with data visualisation (Plotly, Power BI, Streamlit) or open-source contributions. Knowledge of cloud environments (AWS / GCP) is a plus.
