Deutsche Börse Market Data + Services provides financial market participants around the world with proprietary market data from Deutsche Börse Group’s Xetra and Eurex trading platforms, as well as with data from our cooperation partners. Our clients include analysts, algo traders, banks, hedge funds, asset managers, mid- and back-office professionals and vendors who rely on high-quality, reliable information to make investment and trading decisions, manage risk, safeguard assets, and meet increasing regulatory requirements. 

We are looking for a Working Student (f/m/d) within the Market Data + Services Customer Compliance Unit. In this role you will assist with supporting data processing and ongoing IT issues related to Market Data Audits and Market Data Reporting of our customers.

Your responsibilities:

• The role involves processing customer data using in-house tools. You will analyse the processed output and compare it with internal databases to identify discrepancies
• Improve and automate the visualization of this data within MS Excel for customer to review, specifically this automation will be done using Visual Basic macros
• Provide ongoing support in raising and monitoring active IT tickets for the team
• You will proactively review tickets closed by our IT support team and conduct testing on released updates and fixes
• Assist the team with data analysis on an ad-hoc basis

Your profile:

• You will be enrolled during the entire period of the role at a state-recognized university and are a regular student who has completed at least 2 semesters in a relevant field and available for at least 1 more year
• You should be able to work on site at least one day a week
• You should have an understanding of the participants in financial markets as well as the sources, vendors and consumers of market data
• You have experience with coding especially for data analysis and presentation of large data sets, previous demonstrable experience writing VBA is a bonus
• You are comfortable using MS Office applications for data analysis, in particular experience in MS Excel is desired
• You are a strong communicator and comfortable working independently as well as in a team, and with external stakeholders. You are comfortable quickly taking on your own independent responsibilities
• You are fluent in written and spoken English, proficiency in German will be an asset
