The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) area is at the heart of the Information Technology division of Deutsche Börse Group. The CTO area develops and operates the group-wide IT infrastructure (network, data centers and Cloud), the Group Data & Advanced Analytics and the Enterprise Architecture which significantly contribute to Deutsche Börse Group overall strategy. The CTO area drives digital transformation and leverages innovation while keeping production operations stable are the core pillars of the shared services.
Within the CTO Area, Cloud / Core Infrastructure department enables the usage of public cloud services from Microsoft and Google and provides core infrastructure services such as data center management and non-trading network operations.
You will drive the transformation of modern technologies and infrastructure in a highly regulated capital markets environment; advance innovation and contribute to Deutsche Börse Group’s overall strategy.
Your Responsibilities
- Design, implement and operate a micro segmentation tooling, request and management workflows across hybrid networks on-prem as well as in Google Cloud and Azure
- Focus on Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation, achieving a compliant and efficient workflow
- Collect, analyse and translate requirements to tech deliverables and projects. Coordinate with all teams contributing to the project to ensure successful delivery using Agile best practices
Your Profile
- University degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, or a comparable field
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in a hybrid DevOps/SRE role, with strong proficiency in Bash/shell scripting and either Python or Golang
- Proven experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins; confident in implementing unit and integration testing, API design and integration.
- Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), as well as serverless architectures
- Skilled in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or similar tools, and experienced in deploying and managing infrastructure on public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Familiar with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack), and capable of defining and tracking SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets
- Experience in incident response, root cause analysis, and implementing reliability improvements in production environments
- Additional knowledge that will make you a quick starter:
- Familiarity with AIOps platforms (e.g., Dynatrace, Moogsoft, Splunk ITSI, Datadog AIOps) and their application in automating monitoring, incident response, and performance optimization
- Strong interest in modern technologies and their application in the financial services or other regulated industries
- Project management capabilities, excellent time management, and a clear, concise communication style
- Analytical thinking, intercultural competence, and a hands-on, proactive mindset
- Interest in learning about network security concepts, tools, and orchestration
- Full professional proficiency in English is required
