Job description

At Dataiku, we're not just adapting to the AI revolution, we're leading it. Since our beginning in Paris in 2013, we've been pioneering the future of AI with a platform that makes data actionable and accessible. With over 1,000 teammates across 25 countries and backed by a renowned set of investors, we're the architects of Everyday AI, enabling data experts and domain experts to work together to build AI into their daily operations, from advanced analytics to Generative AI.

Dataiku is looking for a Solutions Specialist specialized in Financial Services & Insurance (FSI) to join Dataiku’s Business Solutions team. In his role, the Solution Specialist owns two essential missions to accelerate Dataiku’s development in the FSI space:

(1) Act as a Subject Matter Specialist for FSI, including specific subdomains (e.g., Risk Management, Finance, Pricing, and Underwriting). They will be in charge of providing a detailed understanding of business models and specific team functions to our sales and product teams, along with insight into opportunities and trends relating to data, analytics, and AI. They will clearly connect these understandings and insights with Dataiku’s product offer. They will support sales teams on these topics by meeting directly with clients and prospects.

(2) Own the identification, scoping, and successful rollout of Dataiku Solutions aligned to industry trends and market research, to maximize Dataiku’s value delivery within priority subdomains.

Your mission will be undertaken in close partnership with Dataiku’s broader Business Solutions team, including the Solution Director for FSI and the FSI Solution Data Scientists, as well as with Dataiku’s core teams: Sales, Customer, Partnership, Product, and R&D.

What you will do in detail:

  • Subject Matter Expert for FSI, including specific subdomains: Leverage your expertise with the challenges, objectives, types of roles, and tangible data and AI use cases to support the development of Dataiku as a thought partner and enabler of success with FSI firms:
    • Effectively articulate and document Dataiku’s value proposition for distinct business and functional teams within FSI firms, and ensure that Dataiku’s sales and engineering teams articulate these value propositions effectively.
    • Directly support sales and customer activities targeting FSI firms or priority domains: help sales teams understand the specific dynamics of different teams and divisions within these complex organizations and act as a key spokesperson with FSI prospects, customers, and partners at all levels, including executive engagements and external events.
    • Dive deeply into the specific needs of business and functional and operational domains within FSI firms, including areas you are unfamiliar with, to identify key personas and use cases Dataiku can support.
    • Support the scaling of internal knowledge and client experiences by developing relevant material to share internally and externally.
    • Directly on the creation and execution of strategic plans to accelerate Dataiku’s impact within one or more priority subdomains.
  • Solutions Development: As a key member of Dataiku’s Business Solutions team, you will play an instrumental role in the development of Dataiku Solutions: compelling analytic and AI use-cases that showcase how Dataiku solves real-world problems and directly addresses the domain-specific needs of FSI teams. You can see examples here: www.dataiku.com/solutions/catalog
    • Design compelling and competitive Solutions that address real and articulable industry team needs, including the necessary inputs, outputs, processes, and features.
    • Act as business lead for the creation and launch of these Solutions with responsibility for effective, efficient and impactful results, in close collaboration with the broader Solutions team: Product, R&D, UX, Partnerships, and Data Science.
    • Define success metrics and track KPIs to concretely evaluate the success of Solutions and identify opportunities for changes or enhancements.
    • Fuel and qualify the Solutions development pipeline through business experience, client workshops, market research, and partnership discussions.
    • Support the global push for existing and new Solutions by enabling internal teams, leading customer interactions, and building go-to-market material.

Who you are:

  • 7-10 years (seniority of role can adapt to candidate) hands-on experience and deep understanding of analytics and transformation projects directly impacting one or more business lines or functions within FSI firms.
  • Direct experience and a clear grasp of the constraints and trade-offs faced by different teams within FSI firms tackling data, analytic and AI challenges.
  • Able to clearly articulate the important impact that ‘mundane’ as well as ‘moonshot’ projects can have on individual teams’ productivity and business objectives.
  • Comfortable describing the continuum of ways in which data, analytics and AI can add value, from automation, pipelines and dashboards to machine learning and Generative AI.
  • Proven experience in developing familiarity with the needs and experiences of teams working on topics about which you are not already familiar, via self-driven research and insight.
  • Proven experience outlining exact user journeys, including the interaction of distinct roles and systems across a process.
  • Capable of building a direct and practical understanding of Dataiku’s specific value proposition for specific FSI teams.
  • Experience working within a role as part of, or in direct support of, leadership teams.
  • Very strong experience in project management, capable of orchestrating multiple projects while supporting associated teams simultaneously.
  • Able to create detailed recommendations and offer clear guidance to others, and capable and willing to directly build and deliver projects yourself.
  • Proven track record working with diverse teams, and successfully engaging them on complex or specialized topics.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral), able to clearly articulate and present complex situations and concepts to varied audiences.
  • Based in EMEA and able to travel both within that region and to other continents (10% of the time).
