Our Machine Learning team, established in 2016, has been actively involved in developing models across a diverse range of topics. Primarily, we focus on recommender systems, and extend our expertise to content classification, moderation, and search functionalities.

You will be joining a seasoned and diverse team of Senior Machine Learning Engineers, who possess the capability to independently conceptualize, deploy, A/B test, and monitor their models.

We collaborate closely with the Data Product Team, aligning our efforts to make impactful, data-driven decisions for our users.

As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will:

• Design and deploy scalable recommender systems, handling billions of user interactions and hundreds of millions of videos.
• Contribute to various projects spanning machine learning domains, encompassing content classification, moderation, and ad-tech.
• Foster autonomy, taking ownership of your scope, and actively contribute ideas and solutions. Maintain and monitor your models in production.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the entire machine learning model development cycle:
  • Define success metrics in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Engage in data collection and hypothesis selection with the support of the Data Analysts Team.
  • Conduct machine learning experiments, including feature engineering, model selection, offline validation, and A/B Testing.
  • Manage deployment, orchestration, and maintenance on cloud platforms with the Data Engineering Team.

• Master's degree/PhD in Machine Learning, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
• At least 1 year of professional experience working with machine learning models at scale (experience with recommender systems is a plus).
• Proficient in machine learning concepts, with the ability to articulate theoretical concepts effectively.
• Strong coding skills in Python & SQL.
• Experience in building production ML systems; familiarity with technologies such as GitHub, Docker, Airflow, or equivalent services provided by GCP/AWS/Azure.
• Experience with distributed frameworks is advantageous (Dataflow, Spark, etc.).
• Strong business acumen and excellent communication skills in both English and French (fluent proficiency).
• Demonstrated aptitude for autonomy and proactivity is highly valued.
