Job description

Dailymotion is seeking an Analytics Engineer to join our Analytics team within the Data department. This cross-functional team—composed of Data Product Managers, Analysts, and Analytics Engineers—is responsible for a wide range of analytics products: from internal and client-facing insights, to data quality frameworks, and end-to-end pipelines. Our mission: Build a modern data ecosystem that empowers autonomous, data-driven decisions and drives value across all products and business units.

As an Analytics Engineer, you’ll work at the intersection of software engineering and data analytics to design, build, and maintain scalable data products. You’ll translate functional needs into high-quality, reusable data solutions that power both internal operations and client-facing services.

This role offers the opportunity to make a company-wide impact, contributing to meaningful challenges in a dynamic environment. You’ll help shape Dailymotion’s data culture and support the ecosystem that drives decision-making across the business.

Your responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Data PMs, Analysts, Engineers, Business & Product stakeholders) to understand needs, define data requirements, and deliver relevant data products.
  • Develop and optimize complex SQL transformations to model raw data into trusted business entities and aggregated metrics for reporting and analysis.
  • Own and continuously improve analytics pipelines, from ingestion to transformation and data delivery.
  • Ensure data quality, reliability, scalability, and performance across all data products, using monitoring and cost-efficient practices.
  • Document and catalog business concepts (datamarts, dimensions, metrics, business rules) to support data discoverability and governance.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on our core datasets, and coach internal users on analytics best practices and SQL usage.
  • Contribute to Dailymotion’s AI and advanced analytics strategy by testing new tools, proposing innovative processes, and exploring emerging technologies.

Our Stack

You’ll work in a modern data environment powered by Google Cloud Platform, including:

  • DataLake: BigQuery
  • Orchestration: Airflow
  • Containerization & Deployment: Docker, Kubernetes, JenkinsX
  • Data Modeling & Transformation: SQL, dbt
  • Data Quality & Observability: Sifflet
  • Data discoverability: Coalesce Catalog
  • BI / Reporting: Looker, LookerStudio, Amplitude
