Continental is currently running large projects in digitalization and in automatization across all manufacturing plants. We are looking for motivated candidates which are eager to learn new technologies and get involve in small and large projects.

YOUR TASK & RESPONSIBILTIES

• Member of a diverse team which is located in different regions (AMERICA, EMEA, APAC)

• Involvement on small and large projects for digitalizing the machinery and its processes (IIoT and Cloud - edge computing technologies, Kubernetes Cluster (K8s))

• Specify and document which HW is required to equip the machines to provide the right data to the Manufacturing Execution Systems

• Implement/integrate the machines for big data collection and analysis

• Working on agile project teams and remote environment

• Opportunity to travel to different locations to implement new solutions to the manufacturing plants and meet different cultures and different working styles

• Knowledge transfer to the different engineering teams in the plants

• Document and report the solutions implemented to the different plants

• Support in creating new investment requirements for a given area in individual plants

• Project Management in the field of digitalization

• Cooperation with the different stakeholders within Continental and with external suppliers

• Daily usage of English language

YOUR PROFILE

• Technical university education

• Practice min. 3 years in the field of industrial automation of the production plant

• Project management skills

• Knowledge on the following control systems (Step 7, TIA Portal, TwinCAT. Allen Bradley (as an advantage)

• Knowledge in higher level language (C++, C# and Python) as an advantage

• Logical and analytical thinking, flexibility, active approach, independence

• Willingness to travel (approx. 30% to 50% of the time)

• Knowledge of English at least at level B1 (position requires daily communication in English orally and in writing)
