WHAT WOULD YOU BE IN CHARGE OF? 💼

As a Tech Lead, you have a technical leadership role. Your role is to make sure the engineering team delivers on the strategic roadmap defined by the CTO under his supervision.

WHAT WOULD YOUR MAIN MISSIONS BE? 🎯

  • Individual contribution: Ensure the development of new functionalities and the maintenance of the existing codebase.
  • Technical expertise: Provide insight and guidance to the team on all technological aspects. Conduct tech research, align choices, mentor team members etc. Currently the main area of focus is back-end development ; other potential areas include front-end and mobile app development, data engineering, security, devops, IoT etc.
  • Project leadership: Lead specific projects, ensure timely delivery, maintain productivity and ambience, report efficiently. Assist the engineering team for optimal delivery of the roadmap.

Hiring you will allow the CTO to focus on the strategic, outward-facing management role in the tech team (the “what”), while you focus on the operational, inward-facing technical role (the “how”).

  • You have a good experience (> 5 years) with Ruby on Rails on ambitious projects running in production
  • You have mentoring experience with peers (> 1 year)
  • Modern front-end dev experience is appreciated (React), as is experience with native apps and everything in between
  • You have experience with the Shape Up methodology
  • You understand the importance of product design, UX and UI
  • You have perspective on technologies, patterns, standards, workflows, work methods and tools
  • You have an engineer mindset, you embrace complexity and make smart decisions
  • You understand the business side of things, you can balance execution and report efficiently
  • You constantly learn autonomously on all of these subjects

No specific level of education is required. Speaking French isn’t necessary, but speaking fluent English is.
