Aline graduated from the Solvay Brussels School (VUB) as a commercial engineer. Fed by a strong interest in urban studies and user involvement, she co-founded CitizenLab. Together with Wietse, Aline was elected by business magazine Forbes as '30 under 30' in Europe. She ensures the success of our clients, and is responsible for scaling our social impact at CitizenLab.

Wietse was graduated as Business Engineer at the Solvay Brussels School (VUB & ULB) and Waseda University in Tokyo. He was elected by business magazine Forbes as '30 under 30' in Europe and as a YTILI fellow by the German Marshall Fund of the United States.

Together with Aline and Koen, Wietse started CitizenLab more than 5 years ago based on the belief that participating in a democracy should be more than just the act of voting every X years. In a thriving participatory democracy, everyone should have the means to make their voice heard in an easy and accessible way.
