The position

Job description

Be responsible for maintenance, update and modelisation of a healthcare start-up domain knowledge (mainly transplantation), in order to ensure the quality of patient data structuration and future AI applications.

NB : We are looking for people working from EU, preferably France, with working rights in EU.

Key Responsibilities

Semantic architecture

  • Coordinate semantic experts and our medical advisor to perform terminology management
  • Decide and plan future semantic needs (medications, symptoms) based on clinician needs
  • Monitor and implement updates to core medical terminologies (SNOMED CT, LOINC, etc.)
  • Collaborate closely with development and DevOps teams on semantic server architecture

Knowledge and ontology engineering

  • Maintain and update our transplant Knowledge Graph in close collaboration with NLP experts and medical advisors
  • Create and maintain medical ontologies
  • Explore reasoning, AI, and GraphRAG applications for clinical decision support

Preferred experience

Experience

  • 3-5 years in semantic engineering, knowledge engineering, medical informatics, or related field
  • Hands-on experience managing medical terminologies and knowledge graphs in production environments
  • French: Conversational level
  • English: C2 level

Technical Skills

  • Graph databases (Neo4j or equivalent)
  • Ontologies (Webprotégé, OWL, RDF)
  • Familiarity with SNOMED CT, LOINC, ICD, RxNorm
  • Semantic web technologies and knowledge representation
  • Comfortable with scripting/coding for automation and tooling (Python, JavaScript preferred)
  • Data quality management and audit trail implementation

Collaboration Skills

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts
  • Ability to balance the sometimes competing priorities
  • Strong coordination skills for managing external experts, consultants, and cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the healthcare technology sector
  • Experience working with SNOMED-CT, ICD10 or other medical semantics
  • Project management capabilities
