Revolutionizing the food supply chain and reducing the waste along the way, requires us to lead this change from within, by striving for the most efficient processes for customer onboarding. This is the focus of the Automation Specialists. After starting the journey with low-code solutions such as RPA, Python scripting and select use cases for generative AI, the next level of evolution will focus on API automation and building UIs & workflows to automate end-to-end processes.

The Senior Automation Specialist supports the team hands-on in solution development, while helping to understand the requirements of our internal customers and guiding the team on continuously improving the stability and sustainability of their solutions.

What you’ll do

• Building Automation Solutions: Leveraging our workflow tools and internal APIs to build efficient and stable automation solutions & ensuring quality and impact of the solutions by applying rigorous validation & testing procedures.

• Process design: Engaging with our Ops teams and stakeholders to understand the business processes and needs to be served by every solution & supporting the roll-out and adoption of solutions, by supporting in user training and engagement

• Guidance: Supporting junior team members with technical blockers & sharing best practices proactively and helping to shape the team’s cadences and processes to ensure the highest possible impact and quality of our solutions.

• Strategy: Supporting important strategic decisions on automation related topics or key product design decisions with technical expertise, as well as engaging in exploration and supporting the sourcing & selection of new technologies, where required.

What we’re looking for

• Great understanding of APIs (incl. GraphQL) & workflow management tools (e.g. Zapier, Retool, N8N)

• Proven track record of applying generative AI solutions to business problems

• Proficiency with at least one programming language (Python, JavaScript)

• Good knowledge in RPA, OCR and scripting tools (e.g. Google Apps Scripts) preferred

• Self-starter mindset; being able to deliver results with little guidance

• Customer- & quality first mindset (both for internal stakeholders and end users)

• Highly effective written and verbal communication skills (especially wrt technical concepts)
