Context
Cartoonbase is at the crossroad between a creative agency and a consultancy. It means we are solving strategic problems for our clients in the most creative way possible.
Our projects are led by two people: a consultant and a creative. Your job is to make sure our ideas are strong, clear, and useful for the client’s business.
This means you should be excellent at ideas, but also at expressing them with drawings. Not as good as Sempé or Franquin (although it would be a plus), but good enough to be understood.
Job purpose
Kickstart projects
As one of the two heads, you ensure that each project starts with a shared vision between business strategy and creative direction. With the consultant and project manager, you:
Answer tenders and scope projects with both strategic and creative lenses.
Make sure ideas are aligned with the client’s business objectives.
Help producers select the right team for the job.
Participate in brainstorming sessions, building bridges between consultants’ insights and creative approaches.
Be the voice of the creative team to the client
In client interactions, you embody the creative perspective and work as a partner to the consultant to:
Co-create solutions that connect creativity with business impact.
Challenge assumptions and offer alternative ways of thinking.
Suggest relevant Cartoonbase services that serve both business and communication needs.
Translate client and consultant insights into clear creative briefings.
Defend and articulate creative propositions throughout the process.

The original idea stays clear throughout the project.
Visuals, concepts, and tone stay aligned.

The creative team gets clear direction and answers when needed.
