The position

Job description

The Product Architect is responsible for planning, designing and reviewing the technical architecture of the product, with inputs from stakeholders, in accordance to the business vision. They will lead other architects and development teams to build the product, keeping in accordance with the identified best practices and procedures. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Leverage your experience and ideas to create innovative solutions that deliver high value. 

  • Identify, design and implement modern scalable data solutions, using a range of cloud technologies. 

  • Mentor the team in best practices and build guidelines to state-of-the-art data & AI systems. 

  • Use your excellent communication skills to work across internal and customer teams, as well as different levels to evangelize the solution. 

  • Be on the forefront of healthcare innovation. 

You will be part of the BRITE  team. The Philips BReakthrough Innovation TEams (BRITE) are the embodiment of Philips’ new approach to driving breakthrough innovation. The BRITE approach accelerates innovation by being the organizational sandbox to nurture nascent projects from the early innovation stage to the full ability to scale.

The BRITE Program Leads, reporting directly to Research, will be the key leaders for individual BRITE programs, with full end-to-end responsibility, as role models with intrapreneurial characteristics of agility, creativity, speed, and drive (to name a few).


Preferred experience

  • At least 10 years of experience in Software development, with 5 years of experience in designing/architecting enterprise solutions. 

  • Experience in building/architecting BI solutions in cloud platforms.

  • Experience with AWS is essential.

  • Proven ability to develop and evaluate architectural alternatives for different cloud models. 

  • Ability to apply analytical and creative thought process. 

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. 

  • Have a track record for successfully delivering estimating effort and adhering to timelines. 

  • Have worked with a geographically dispersed team across multiple time zones. 

  • Experience in analytics systems and/or working with Data Scientists is a plus. 

  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL modern data stores. 

  • Work in healthcare or other regulated industry is a plus.
