Your mission

 

We are looking for a confirmed Software Engineer to join the Data Ops squad to join the Data Ops team at BlaBlaCar.

Their mission is to optimize our data platform that is used daily by different profiles : Data Analysts, Data Scientists and Data Engineers. As a confirmed Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, testing, deploying and monitoring robust solutions for the Data Operations team. You will be reporting to Jean-Baptiste EVEN and working with a Backend team of 3 developers and one Data Engineer.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of our new impactful features, from the early technical design to the actual rollout
  • Participate in defining the architecture and usages of services to ensure scalability, robustness, and ease of use for the Data teams
  • Interact with multiple data, infrastructure, product and engineering stakeholders from different roles, backgrounds and culture
  • You’re definitely a team player, being eager to share and learn from your teammates and to grow altogether as a team
  • You have 3+ years of experience from companies with a strong engineering culture, within a growth context
  • You are fluent in Java and/or Python
  • You have hands-on experience with Git, Docker, and Kubernetes, and monitoring solutions (Datadog)
  • Experience on Data products such as Airflow, DBT, VertexAI is a plus
  • You have good communication skills, you’re humble and you're a team player
  • You are able to take ownership, aligned with business priorities 
  •  Full working proficiency in English
  • Hybrid status for this role - 2 to 3 days per week at the office
