For 5 years, Max worked as corporate banker, helping mid-sized companies acquire investments and loans to grow their business. This experience taught him the value of lending an attentive ear to his collaborators, a skill he has endeavored to foster ever since. Everyday, he works on anticipating needs and solving problems for team members and customers, and on building a thriving company culture. He is a “bon vivant” enjoying good things of life and always good for a laugh.

A computer science engineer who caught fire coding. His specialties include quickly learning new skills and programming languages, problem solving, responsive design principles and the Model View Controller (MVC) method of organizing code. Wassim has a passion for swimming and hiking.

After tasting the joys of research at McGill university, he dives head first into entrepreneurship with college friends. 8 years later, he co-founds Batvoice, which allows him to combine these two passions. On the R&D side, he works on speech processing, from speech recognition to NLU and social signal processing (emotions, interaction). On the product side, he translates client needs into specs, and has fun building pretty interfaces. When not absorbed in his work, Eric plays guitar, cooks for his friends, and builds furniture.

After pursuing his PhD at Universidad de La Laguna in the field of Computer Vision and Robotics, he worked for different research entities before jumping into the world of startups. There, he started as a combination of researcher / software engineer / SRE for a live video delivery optimization platform until he landed into Batvoice, where he has been working in many areas, including the Backend of our main product, permissions system, DB optimization, ETL or the Kubeflow cluster and pipelines design, among others.

When he is not working on that, you most likely will see him in the nature, hiking or with his MTB.

A signal processing and computer science enthusiast since childhood, he studies these subjects first at Ponts ParisTech shool then at ENS and Télécom ParisTech, before joining Batvoice and co-creating the Callwatch analysis platform. He works on machine learning (speech to text, text analysis, change detection) and oversees the production infrastrucure. He will gladly discuss audio features, IPv4 stack and perspectives for a generic AI with you.
