Back Market is undergoing meteoric growth and has raised $884 million, with a valuation of $5.7 billion. Our mission is simple: empowering people to buy tech sustainably by offering folks a high quality, accessible, and more eco-friendly alternative to buying new electronics. Why? Refurbished tech helps lower our collective environmental impact.

Be part of a great and growing adventure that will change the way the world consumes tech.

  • You will shape our communication plan together with our marketing experts (identify audiences, messaging and touchpoints)
  •

  • Manage daily brand communication. You will be in charge of the day-to-day implementation of this strategy:
  • Leveraging our internal capabilities (creative, social media, CRM, VOL, etc.)
  • Leading the collaboration with communication external partners
  • Overseeing PR initiatives with our local PR agency
  • Track results and adapt our strategy:
  • You will analyze and report on the performance of actions/campaigns and suggest recommendations to improve them

  • You are a native Japanese speaker, and you speak English fluently
  • You have a minimum of 7+ years experience preferably in Communications/Advertising (ie. Strategic Planning or New Business in an agency), or the same position in a Start-up Scale-up

  • Ideally have worked on similar projects: adapting a brand to the Japanese market
  • You are a team player
  • You are strategy savvy, with a lot of experience in understanding consumers, analyzing markets and trends
  • You have an analytical mindset and like defining comms architecture
  • You are capable of framing a strong brand storytelling and articulating it across all channels and throughout the customer journey
  • You understand its impact on consumers’ mindsets (via both copy and visual).
