We're currently seeking an Investment Back-Office Controller to join our Trade and Asset Servicing (TAS) team in Paris, France. As part of this team, you'll be responsible for monitoring and improving the accounting processes related to the booking of trades, financial incomes and expenses for the AXA entities in your scope of responsibility.

The Investment Back-Office Controller will work in a highly international and changing environment, monitoring the activities of around 120 FTE in India, in charge of booking around 130,000 postings a month for roughly 200 AXA entities in 14 different countries. You'll be attached to the Center of Excellence (CoE) in Paris, which includes two other key streams: Data management and Investment Accounting and Reporting (IAR).

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to : 

  • Ensure convergence activities among activities performed for the AXA entities using the platform.
  • Enhance and maintain SHIP solution (business requirement, testing of IT changes, and training to the team).
  • Manage project activities, including adjustment of the platform to new regulation, new scope integration, merger and acquisition among companies in scope, and maintenance and enhancement of information flow between teams and third parties.
  • Support Indian team in management of queries and specific posting (2nd level support).
  • Ensure the effectiveness and proper design of control environment.
  • Coordinate the relationship with internal clients and third parties.
  • Ensure preventive and corrective actions in case of errors.
  • Design and document controls.

Preferred experience

To succeed in this role, you'll need :

  • Very good knowledge of financial markets and instruments as well as general financial investment chain.
  • Project management, audit, middle office or fund accounting previous experience.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office.
  • Fluency in English and French.

You should have at least 7-8 years' experience in a similar position in a financial department or in audit, middle office or fund accounting. At least one significant experience in project management would be appreciated.
