We are looking for our Finance Data Product Owner F/M

Based in Châtillon (92)

You understand business needs and transform use cases into Products. You act as an entrepreneur who is in charge of the vision, financial sustainability and product creation. It is a collaborative work with the development teams and several stakeholders (internal/external) that requires leadership to introduce new products. The Data Product Owner is accountable for the “What” in terms of requirements/solutions.

You have the accountability (product content/financial/customer facing) to convert initial use cases into much larger products that impact positively Finance AXA Partners. You work and lead cross-over teams and technologies to achieve our mission. AXA Partners has defined a decentralized operating model for data appointing data teams in BUs and geographies to be responsible for the proper deployment of data strategy closer to business owners. Whereas a Central Data Office manages the Data Platforms, Big Data & Analytics frameworks, standards and guidelines. 

 

Your main responsibilities will be:- Collaborating closely with the organization leadership team, data and analytics teams and other functions such as accounting, controlling, local, and central, etc., to understand business demand, identify suitable products or new use cases, and building/leading their initial implementation. 

  • Managing the Data Product creation including strategic planning, prioritisation, communication, stakeholder involvement, metrics and reporting, conveying business value
  • Proficiently capture and summarize stakeholder needs and goals in clear and concise themes, epics, and user stories
  • Active, “hands-on” participation, working directly with stakeholders to create products.
  • Defining key metrics / indicators to measure progress and success of the Products (e.g. adoption rate)
  • Facilitating the conversion of the initial Products into much larger roll-out cross Finance.   
  • Determining which emerging issues (internal and external) are relevant to the organization's current and future data needs and ensuring strategies, policies, programs, and processes incorporate these trends and address key issues and risks. 
  • Building and sustaining relationships with key stakeholders and peers from Finance, data office and IT, as well as some external parties (AXA GO, etc.) to design/build long lasting and impactful products.
  • Planning and leading sessions with internal customers to co-create Data Products. Systematically track the added value for the Data Products, making constructive suggestions incl. e.g. stopping the Data Product creation if the business impact is not significant 
  • Being the arm on selected strategic initiatives by bringing Finance/Data experts together.
  • Understanding leading applications of data and analytics used in the insurance and financial services sector and in other companies.

Preferred experience

Education, Professional Qualifications and Experience 

- Master’s degree in Business Intelligence with major in Big Data 

  • Minimum of 3-5 year experience in production BI environment (build & run), with a proven expertise in data warehousing/analytics projects, ideally in major and multi-cultural organizations with large-scale data.
  • Fluent English, French is a plus (with willingness to learn)

 Technical/ Functional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Hard Skills- You are fluent in business Intelligence theory (dimensional modelling: Kimball, star schema etc., database, data warehousing, datamarts, dimensional and tabular cube, KPI, etc.)
  • You are fluent in Data Visualisation techniques, reporting and dashboarding
  • You are fluent in self-service or classical BI technologies (AAS, DAX, visual studio, Power BI, Power Query, etc.)
  • You are fluent in SQL
  • Scrum / Agile certification
  • You have a good understanding of the software development process (git, etc.) and knowledge in Azure DevOps is a plus
  • First knowledge about Azure Cloud Datalake, Databricks, Spark are a plus
  • Strong interest in Finance & Accounting topics
  • Data Engineering knowledge is a plus
  • Soft Skills- Strong communicator, able to mock-up, prototype and formalize efficiently business requirements into advanced analytical capabilities 
  • Entrepreneurial, team and can-do spirit, able to work to lead and carry-out projects with problem-solving skills, constantly striving for effective solutions 
  • Creativity, innovation mindset and ability to correctly consider legacy
  • Customer-centric with quick reactivity on issues or changing requirements to deliver high-level of service
  • Working with Agile mindset in an international, multicultural and complex environment (English is mandatory) with high willingness to share, teach and advise
