EB Partners is an Insurtech dedicated to Health and EB (health, protection, pension), offering both consulting and digital solutions. EB Partners was created 10 years ago with the objective of boosting AXA’s presence on all Health and EB insurance segments in the 25 countries where the insurer operates.
Indeed, Health and EB are among the key strategic drivers of AXA’s growth and profitability with more than Euros 15 bn in revenues.
To well sustain this strategy, EB Partners has grown over years with a team of specialists in both Heath and EB insurance, as well as well in Digital Solutions. This strong intrapreneurial model toward all the AXA entities has allowed to:
- Work now with more than 17 AXA entities in 15 countries.
- Develop Low code,No code solutions that allow both global generic products and full adaptation to each local market.
- Build a global team of 75 people (internal and externals) with several nationalities (both actuaries, project managers, digital developers, Marketing experts, etc.)
- Maintain an entrepreneurial mindset to grow the entity alongside with each of our clients (insurers or brokers).
Our support focuses on the following four main business processes:
- Technical Solutions in insurance to better underwrite, quote, renew, monitor Health and EB business, improving technical excellence and increasing profitability.
- Service Platforms enabling Employers, Insurance Distributors, Employees and Retail customers to have both self-assessment insurance and services through digitalization.
- Operation Excellence with our modular operation platform to manage all operation processes (products, contracts, customers, claims, premiums, etc.)
- Presales digital solution to help insurance distributors to sell and push Health and EB products.
All the solutions developed are in-house allowing to propose native packaged journeys.
EB Partners is entering a new phase of development, with a strategy especially focused on continuing to be one of the best Health and EB Insurtech in the whole insurance market.
For that, we target a significant acceleration plan toward non-AXA insurers and brokers in both Europe, Asia and Middle East as we believe our solutions are fully adapted for those different markets. This strategy has been fully validated with the rest of AXA Management. In terms of business case, we intend to multiply by more than 3 our activity within 5 years.
In this context, our Operation Solutions (called the NeOS Platform) intends to improve all the insurance operation cycle from:
- Product and contract management, both EB contracts and retail health or protection contracts (including all the medical underwriting rules)
- All Client and employee management
- All premium management (calculation, issuance, cash recognition, taxes) including bordereaux and commission management.
- All claims management process with specific focus on Automation, Advanced rules engines
The deputee head of EBP Operation Excellence is reporting to the EBP Operation Head and also in close relationship with EBP CEO. Such line of business is representing at the moment around 20% of our project activity as it is a bit newer in terms of solution developed but we expect it will represent around 35% 40% of our activity in the coming 5 years as such Operation Excellence modernization is very important for the entities and the market is very wide.
AI development will be also a key development for each line of business, especially on Operation.
As deputee Head of EBP Operation Excellence, the role is the following:
- Makes the projects successful:
- Depending on the size of the project, you will supervise around one to three projects at the same time implicating NeOS platform in direct relationship with our clients and with the following 3 winning factors: on time, on quality, on budget.
- This also regroup :
- Be the Client first point of entry : definition of the needs, identification of the relevant solutions, preparation of the Steering Committees,
- Well define the implementation approach, the organization, the budget required to conduct the project, internally in EB Partners and in the entity client.
- Well conduct all the project steps in link with team and clients and IT :1) Specifications 2) implementation 3) testing and quality control 4) roll-out and change management.
- Well Manage each project team embarking a PM, Business Analysts, PO and Technical parametrization team.
- Innovate and build one of the best EB and Health operation platform of the market in link with our development plan, the project underway and additional digital developments : to continue to well consolidate our global operation platform. For that from the platform already developed, EBP will continue to invest in both no code enhancements, AI sub modules, automation. For that you coordinate 2 Product Owners of the solution. To be noted, NeOS platform will represent around 30 to 40% of our innovation budget for the coming 5 years.
- Contribute to the commercial activity of EB Partners : depending on the projects and on demand, participate actively for all the commercial search and presentations to propose our platform to new clients.
- Replace the EBP Head of Operation at EBP Excom in case of absence : for that, participate actively to the whole strategy of EB Partners and also the whole governance of EB Partners.
- Make his team Grow (so far 2 POs, 1 PM and several consultants attached to his role) : make them grow in terms of technical, project and solution knowledge.
