We are looking for an experienced and motivated Lead Data Engineer (f/m/x) to join our fast growing team!

About the role

As a Lead Data Engineer (f/m/x) you will drive strategic data initiatives and shape the future of our data platform architecture. Furthermore, you will mentor and grow a team of data engineers, drive cross-functional projects and introduce best industry practices to the organisation. Sounds exciting? Your Responsibilities

  • Drive the strategy, design, implementation and own the data warehouse with its data integrations
  • Lead a team of data engineers
  • Ensure best practices in SQL coding and data transformations including the tooling (DBT)
  • Design and implement ETL pipelines as well as define documented templates and standards
  • Build dimensional representations of data either in the data repository (Snowflake)
  • Help maturing the ETL pipeline orchestration (Apache Airflow)
  • Deploy infrastructure via Terraform

Your Profile

  • Advanced knowledge of SQL and columnar storage databases (preferred Snowflake or Redshift, Google BigQuery) and its administration
  • Fluency in at least one general-purpose programming language (preferably Python)
  • Extensive experience in information management, data warehousing and analytics technologies
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects and effectively communicate technology concepts to a variety of audiences
  • Experience and considerable knowledge in analysis, design, and development of data warehouses working with large data repositories and/or relational databases
  • Experience with infrastructure as code
  • Experience working with ETL Tools such as Talend, Pentaho or similar (good to have)
  • Fluency in English
