About the SEO Team
- 20+ strong SEO team based in London and Cornwall, UK
- We are a close-knit team who work hard but also have a lot of fun
- Although we have a hierarchy, we like to operate in an open and inclusive way

- The team is made up of SEO generalists, technical SEO experts, SEO content writers and Digital PR specialists
- We have great collaboration between our main London office and our satellite Cornwall office. Last year we went on a trip to Cornwall together - we surfed, walked and had fun.

- We work with clients across automotive, luxury fashion, travel, charity, technology sectors and more!

Main Responsibilities
- Plan and lead the strategic development of SEO campaigns that drive performance with success measures aligned to the client’s wider marketing and overall business objectives
- Develop effective organic search strategies which combine the different SEO disciplines (content, tech and digital PR) to help our clients exceed their goals. For example; taxonomy changes, Google Organic Shopping optimisation, Generative AI, Digital PR Campaigns and Content strategy
- Define best practice methodologies, sharing with the wider team and ensure full integration with all Organic projects
- Perform best-in-class SEO audits
- Provide excellent reporting and insight to clients derived from tools such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools
- Perform in-depth competitor analyses against technical and content elements of websites and the SERP landscape
- Work closely with other Account Directors and head of skills to ensure work produced for clients is best in class, innovative and consistent across all clients
Skills and Experience
Essential
- 4-6+ years SEO experience, with at least 2 in a management role
- Ability to manage complex SEO projects working in conjunction with clients and 3rd parties
- Detailed understanding of the holistic SEO customer cycle and the ability to advise clients on when they need a Technical, Content or Digital PR specialist
- Hands-on SEO experience dealing with complex issues such as site migrations, duplicate content, hreflang, Schema Markup, parameter handling, pagination and faceted navigation.
- Strong understanding of SEO best practices, including HTML meta tags, URL structure, hreflang, and schema.org markup for desktop and mobile search
- Experience in or working alongside Digital PR teams, with the ability to show the value of link/brand building activities for SEO
- Ability to use a wide range of SEO tools based on client needs
- Awareness of and active integration with other marketing activities, specifically the relationship between SEO and PPC
- Ability to use data to support SEO decisions and report back on the successes of various campaigns
- Strong client management skills with the ability to discuss complex elements with stakeholders to help them understand the importance to the business
- Strong problem-solving/troubleshooting skills
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to use common analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Core Metrics, etc.
- Knowledge of robots control and site indexing principles, including robots.txt, meta robots tags, canonical tag, and XML sitemaps
- Experience with KPI definition and forecasting
- Mentor junior members of the team and take an active role in training and development
- Ability to manage the career progression of direct reports
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Up-to-date knowledge of key search algorithms and Google best practice guidelines
- Experience of using G-Suite
Desirable
- Appreciation of UX best practice principles and how these should align with SEO recommendations
- Experience in Google Tag Manager
- Experience with Looker Studio and building dashboards
- Good HTML / CSS / JavaScript knowledge
- Experience using seoClarity
Working Conditions
- This position may require occasional travel.
- Hybrid work arrangement: two days per week working from the office near St. Paul’s
