Role purpose

As a passionate affiliate marketer, you will be one of the Senior Affiliate team members and lead an advanced full channel international affiliate management strategy and operations for multiple clients. You will personally be responsible for several client’s PNL and deliver exceptional affiliate marketing strategies , you will also manage and mentor junior team members along with overseeing the work produced by others. You will work closely with the Head of Affiliates and be liable for Affiliate Department delivery as well as take responsibility for supporting the development and growth of the agency’s affiliate marketing service and for the consistency and quality of affiliate marketing produced across the agency.

 

Main responsibilities

 

Client management

  • Oversee delivery and act as Client Lead for one of the largest clients in Travel, Fashion verticals to ensure it is delivered to the highest possible standard and meets client objectives.
  • Be available to respond to client requests on frequent occasions within competency of a role and come up with solutions to deliver the project in question.
  • Set up deadlines and deliver all necessary projects and sum up updates to present to client’s satisfaction.
  • Take strong sense of ownership and liability for forecasting, managing and delivery of client’s targets. Being able to forecast annual revenue projections for existing clients, and affiliate channel additional value for new clients.
  • Produce New enhanced processes for more efficient client delivery. I.e. Reporting dashboards.
  • Be advanced and knowledgeable about Technical Affiliate Tracking and Datafees and other assets Banners, Offer uploads and Click ref tracking. Troubleshoot and delegate where necessary.
  • Have a clear understanding and proven record of experience in AB testing Post view cookie, Post Click cookie, Soft cookie. Ability to set up advanced CPA setups.
  • Be certified and have a proven track record working with affiliate networks AWIN, CJ, Partnerize, Impact, Webgains, Rakuted.
  • Understand and use Affiliate AI tools, ChatGPT and other AI solutions.
  • Work with the Head of Affiliates and Account Directors to spot and develop opportunities for business growth through affiliate marketing for our clients
  • Fully trained and knowledgeable about GA Reporting suit to be able to generate full affiliate analyse data on Affiliate challen share among other channel.
  • Proven track record of dealing with setting up Affiliate channel UTM parameters to track incremental Affiliate channel
  • Knowledge and understanding about deduplication against other channel such as PPC, Social Media, Display, ec. Understanding of best practices.
  • Proven record of Similarweb Pro usage for Affiliates and/or other tools to analyse user journey, traffic rankings, and benchmarking
  • Delivering opportunity demos and leading Affiliate tech partner presentations with clients.
  • Be familiar with conversion tools and solutions via Affiliate channel, such as Upsellit, Intently, SalesCycle, Soreto, Tyviso, NMPi, Envolve, Increasingly.
  • Project-manage and deliver end-to-end affiliate marketing campaigns for multiple clients and sectors.
  • Benchmark and Manage High ROI, Cost effective and target orientated Affiliate management
  • Monitor project performance, timelines and budgets and report on these regularly to the account director and the client
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients so that they trust and value your opinions
  • Liaise with clients regularly (responding to briefs, attending meetings, status reporting, information seeking, managing milestones and approvals)
  • Work closely with HOA on business development and prepare Affiliate Pitches.
  • Proven track record of international Affiliate channel management in UK, FR, DE, ES, NL, IT, BE, PT, AUS/NZ, CAN/USA, CH.

Affiliate marketing management

  • Develop online affiliate strategy for clients, maximising program reach and conversions
  • Manage multiple client accounts, including product selection, implementation and ongoing optimisation
  • Ensure campaign tracking is at all times correctly deployed and up-to-date
  • Deliver accurate pipeline and invoicing information
  • Provide detailed analysis and reporting of results to clients
  • Develop a close working relationship with affiliates and affiliate networks on the UK market
  • Collaborate with Europe-wide group members to maximise knowledge-sharing and ensure best practises are being utilised

Affiliate consultancy

  • Work with the Affiliate Lead to build a strong, profitable affiliate advertising service offering
  • Oversee and approve affiliate marketing quality assurance processes in the agency as agreed with the Head of Affiliates
  • Lead internal training on affiliate marketing
  • Maximise the value of the affiliate marketing we produce by advising on measurement, reporting and ROI.
  • Provide affiliate marketing consultancy and training for clients
  • Support Head of Affiliates in creating pitch documents and presenting at pitches
  • Be proactive in feeding back good results, data trends, case studies, discovered techniques/ tools and similar information to Head of Affiliates and colleagues

Skills required

Essential

  • 3+ years minimum dedicated affiliate experience - ideally client side within Travel vertical
  • BA Level Degree of Higher within Marketing, Digital Marketing, Media or similar
  • Leadership and channel lead skills with a sense of accountability for the client's budget.
  • Advanced PowerPoint presentation and Excel skills to deliver complex Pivot tables and data analysis, SteerCos and QBRs
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build wide ranging partnerships
  • Be agile and fully prepared to communicate via Teams, Google chat, Slack.
  • Portfolio of affiliate marketing campaigns that show a demonstrable ROI for clients
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-moving environment
  • Excellent project management skills. Strong client communication skills with the proven ability to add value to clients
  • Strong problem-solving/troubleshooting skills.

Desirable

  • Good understanding of other paid media strategies.
  • Travel industry experience either client , network or agency side.
