Job description

Ankorstore was founded in 2019 to build a platform that enables independent shops and brands to connect and thrive. As a result, we became a wholesale marketplace that provides the tools these entrepreneurs need to compete against e-commerce giants.

We work with a network of independent retailers all across Europe, including concept stores, design shops, boutiques, fine food stores and other retailers. Brands retain complete control over which retailers they choose and who they sell to.

We support businesses and local economies, not corporations, employing communities of creative people who value craftsmanship over mass production and mass-market deals.

Only two years after our successful launch, we gathered 300,000 retailers and 30,000 brands across Europe and reached unicorn status with a valuation of €1.75 billion.

In less than three years, we grew to a company of 600+ employees of 45+ nationalities and six offices across five countries (France, the UK, Spain, Italy, and Germany).

Please note that in order to apply for this position you need to have applied to the EU Settlement Scheme and have pre-settled or settled status.

The role:

Ankorstore is looking for an Italian Content Management Intern to join our content team for our Italian market, supporting localisation and content creation as well as content project management.

In this role, you will have the chance to become a key cross-functional player, responsible for translating and writing copy for our Italian audience, partnering with our creative, PR and marketing teams. You will gain valuable experience on the content and localisation digital worlds, working on a wide range of projects and campaigns: weàre looking for someone agile, organised and able to prioritise the workload effectively to meet tight deadlines.

In this varied role, you will use your creative and analytical skills to create compelling and effective content and you’ll collaborate with other stakeholders to understand how to measure its success. You will be responsible for producing and publishing engaging and sharp copy, sub-editing and localising content created by freelance collaborators or other team members, as well as developing content ideas to engage and inspire our audiences.

Things you will be working on:

  • Contribute to the development of style and tone of voice guides for the Italian market, ensuring content is always produced to the highest standard and within the guidelines
  • Translate or create content in a multitude of different formats: from graphics and newsletters to product and website copy, customer brochures, video, blogs and much more - you will be eager to learn how to juggle between them with confidence
  • Collaborate with other stakeholders in the Brand & Marketing team in order to plan and execute a cross-platform content strategy for Italy
  • Partner with other marketing stakeholders to understand our Italian content effectiveness and continuously optimise it based on data insights
  • Brainstorm with team members to develop new ideas on a daily basis
  • Work closely with our community and social media managers to implement the content strategy

Your experience and characteristics:

  • You are comfortable localising content from English into Italian, ensuring it always sounds on brand and idiomatic
  • You are a keen writer and thrive creating content and communications for different channels and different audiences
  • You have some experience in content management and writing and a strong desire to master these skills further
  • You have impeccable attention to detail and excellent verbal and writing skills in Italian
  • You are confident in your ability to work in English and communicate with your colleagues
  • You are an agile, solutions-oriented and organised team player
