The Algolia Channel Solutions Engineering Team plays a vital role in enabling Algolia partners to bring joint solutions to market and fuel Algolia’s partner-led growth (PLG).

The Channel Solution Engineer is the technical lead that assists PAMs, OEM, ISVs, and AEs to drive PLG. You will be involved early in the evangelizing, onboarding, and supporting of strategic System Integrators, Independent Software Vendors, and Cloud Service Providers, working both at the solution and the go-to-market strategy levels. Driving this awareness of and implementation of these solutions across Engineering, Marketing, Alliance, and Revenue teams is also an important and company-strategic aspect of the role.

As a Channel Solutions Engineer, your job will require not only technical mastery of Algolia's suite of offerings, but also the ability to communicate solution benefits and the importance of synergy with partners as an ecosystem. This is a highly autonomous role in which no one day will be the same as the last.

YOUR ROLE WILL CONSIST OF:

  • Act as the technical resource enabling new ISV and SI partners to enter into the Algolia ecosystem, and provide ongoing technical presales support for the initial stages of strategic leads and opportunities raised by partners.
  • To assist in the most strategic opportunities that are partner influenced or sourced, to drive revenue closure and repeatable growth.
  • Enable bi directional communication between partners and our internal teams based on additional product capabilities, implementation feedback, integration architectures, and product changes.
  • Contribute to processes, documentation, and tooling to ensure the team can scale efficiently.
  • Coordinate with the Integration team to provide architectural support on new integrations.
  • Enable the design of new architectures and solutions by SI and ISV that partners bring to the market.
  • Contribute to the preparation & animation of events with the ecosystem

YOU MIGHT BE A FIT IF YOU HAVE:

  • 5+ years professional experience as an Architect or Engineer
  • Proficient in Javascript and at least one back-end language; willingness to dive into and potentially learn additional languages as needs arise
  • 3+ years experience in a client-facing or education role
  • Excellent written and oral English skills
  • Ability to travel
  • Experience at our current stage and beyond ($50-200M ARR range, high growth, lots of change and building internal infrastructure)

NICE TO HAVE:

  • Prior experience working for a digital agency, systems integrator, or other channel technical consulting role
  • Prior experience in education or public speaking
  • Knowledge of UX / UI design and an understanding of common tools (Sketch, Photoshop, etc.)
  • Background in the search industry
  • Computer Science Degree
  • Experience in Develop Operations or IT Service Management
