At Akur8 we handle dozens of services, servers and cloud providers (AWS, GCP…) for customers across multiple time zones, providing a complex challenge for a DevOps Engineer that has a strong interest in cloud-computing and agile development practice (with the goal of helping our complex data-processing and AI solution grow),

Your goal will be to expand our cloud setup from a dozen customers to a few hundred with an uptime of 99,99% while adding functionality to the stack with more than 12 releases a year.

Therefore as a DevOps engineer your typical set of missions will include (but will not be restricted to) :

• Maintain and optimize our CI pipeline,
• Maintain our infrastructure as code repositories,
• Select and set up tools for improving our development workflow,
• Automate deployments of our application,
• Setup monitoring and instrument code to collect metrics,
• Deploy new cloud based tools for Data Science R&D,
• Work closely with our Data Science and Development teams.

Out current technical stack is

Software - Angular 8,TypeScript, NGRX, Python, Java/Spring
Infrastructure - Docker, Terraform, Travis, GitHub, Sonar, Sqreen, Sentry, Logzio, AWS, GCP, Azure

We are looking for innovative and rigorous minds that wish to be core contributors to our platform, for which the following qualities are a pre-requisite :

• An “engineering school” degree OR a masters degree in Computer Science ;
• At least 4 years post-graduate experience in I.T., of which at least 2 have been in a DevOps role ;
• You are knowledgeable in networking, OS administration and Docker ;
• You have at least 2 years experience working with the basics of the AWS platform (EC2, S3, IAM, CLI, APIs…) ;
• You can write clean, maintainable code in Python (for scripting) ;
• Good English language skills
• You’re a fast learner, curious and analytical ;
• You’re passionate, rigorous and able to question your own ideas / achievements ;
• You love problem solving.

In addition to the above skills, the following competences shall provide an advantage :

• You have some knowledge of telemetry solutions (ELK, Datatadog, Graphite, Newrelic….) ;
• You can code in one or more of Java OR Javascript ;
• Strong Git knowledge ;
• You have Terraform OR Kubernetes experience ;
• A basic knowledge of Secure SDLC ;
• Experience of other cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or GCP.
