AFP news agency seeks the Head Of Regional Video Business Development for Asia Pacific

Global news agency Agence France-Presse (AFP) is seeking an energetic business development expert to run its video market and be part of a vibrant sales and marketing team that covers the whole Asia-Pacific region, from Afghanistan to New Zealand.
Role
Identify video targets in each country of the region with associated revenue projection, be it new business, retention or anti-piracy
Maintain and grow an important existing portfolio of video clients and actively generate a pipeline of prospects
With the sales manager, oversee sales cycle and markets strategy for video sales: pricing, pitching, negotiation, sale, delivery setup, after-sales service, reporting
Be seen as the product expert to the sales network in the Region and be the contact person for any related issues
Actively support the sales managers in attaining annual revenue targets on video with a strong focus on maximising the value of each deal
Master AFP’s video tracking tool, expand knowledge and foster autonomous usage of it across the regional sales network
Create a regional product dashboard setting out current business, renewal dates, trials, price evolution etc
Prepare and share a periodic analytical report of video usage across the region highlighting the product market’s status
Participate actively in the increase of video revenue
Offer comprehensive expertise and insight into the product’s market across the region
Support the Sales Manager in negotiating/closing deals, editing contracts and handling complaints or objections related to the product
Maintain clear sales and activity reporting records (CRM) and gather market feedback
Attend networking events, exhibitions and brand-building events. Regular commercial trips are expected
Work closely with marketing and lead generation teams in the region, as well as with the regional sales network and bureau chiefs
The successful candidate would report to the APAC Sales & Marketing Director, with periodic catch-ups with the Paris based Video Business Development Director
Around 10 years of video business development experience
Extensive video network across the region
Ability to work in an international environment
Forward strategic thinker/early adopter of new technologies
Good at making and developing contacts and relationships
Excellent executive presence with strong written and verbal communication skills
Highly organised, adaptable, problem-solver and be bubbling with ideas
Social media-savvy and acting as an AFP ambassador offline and online, with the use of platforms such as LinkedIn
Fluency in English is a must
