AFP, one of the world’s leading news agencies, is seeking a freelance digital verification journalist with strong digital investigation and precise writing skills to verify rumours, hoaxes and falsifications on TikTok.

The journalist will be required to write short fact-check reports in English and Bahasa Indonesia about mis/disinformation circulating on TikTok.

This is a freelance opportunity with flexible working hours.

Successful candidate will contribute to the fight against mis/disinformation and ensure he/she is trained in the various methods of online verification. Online training is available here

• Strong Digital Verification skills

• Strong understanding of social media platforms

• Precise writing skills and ability to summarise information quickly

• Good communication skills 

• Comfortable writing in English and Bahasa Indonesia
