The position

Job description

We are seeking an IT Professional to drive our Linux, K8s and DevOps initiatives in the Cloud domain. As a member of the Cloud team in Prague, you will collaborate with our global colleagues in Denmark and the Philippines. Your role will involve advising, building, operating, and supporting our customer’s expanding Hybrid Cloud infrastructure platform worldwide. 

The primary responsibilities include onboarding customers to the Cloud and managing their daily Cloud operational needs (KPIs, SLAs, OLAs). This in turn requires you to bring together the concepts of Agile, ITIL and DevOps within both a technical context and a business context so we can deliver not just what our customer wants but what they need.

Preferred experience

Technical Qualifications and Experience

  • Linux System Expertise: Demonstrated proficiency in building, operating, and supporting enterprise-grade Linux distributions. 

  • Cloud Proficiency: Foundational knowledge of at least one major public cloud platform (Azure, AWS, GCP). 

  • Containerization: Solid understanding of containerization principles and hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift. 

  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proven skills in implementing Infrastructure as Code using tools like Terraform or Bicep. 

  • Application Deployment Orchestration: Experience orchestrating application deployments using Helm and Kustomize. 

  • GitOps Tools: Familiarity with GitOps tools such as Argo or Flux for Git-based continuous delivery. 

  • CI/CD and Automation: Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools like Azure DevOps, GitLab, or GitHub. 

  • Monitoring and Logging: Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Grafana, Elastic Stack, and Prometheus. 

  • Certifications: Hold certifications such as CKA/CKS/CKAD or Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift. Any additional DevOps public cloud certifications are a plus. 

  • Security: Demonstrated proficiency in implementing security best practices within cloud environments with a strong emphasis on the DevSecOps mindset 

Preference and priority will be given to those able to demonstrate the following:

  • Communication and Documentation: Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly and concisely. 

  • Customer Interaction: Experience interacting with global/enterprise customers, demonstrating the ability to understand and address their diverse needs. 

  • Consultancy Mindset: Prioritize a consultancy mindset over a service mindset, providing proactive advice and guidance to clients. 

  • Hybrid Operations: Ability to manage both on-premises and cloud infrastructure, facilitating seamless hybrid operations. 

  • Continuous Learning: Eager to learn and adapt to new technologies, including Windows and Microsoft technologies alongside Linux. 

  • Work Schedule Flexibility: Willingness to be on call or work in shifting schedules (24x7) to address customer needs promptly. 

  • Attention to Detail: Attention to detail in documenting and reviewing tickets/cases, as well as writing technical documentation for compliance and process improvements.
