Your role
We are looking for a Global Head for Merchant Marketing for the Benefit & Engagement Business Line to focus on the following areas:
1. Marketing & Communication
Define and implement a global merchant marketing and communication strategy, aligned with the broader Benefits & Engagement Business Line positioning
Develop standardized marketing campaigns and toolkits for local markets leveraging digital platforms (web, social media, CRM) to strengthen merchant awareness and engagement. In particular, create and promote merchant success stories to showcase the impact of Edenred's solutions, fostering stronger relationships and inspiring other merchants
Establish best practices and guidelines for merchant retention, activation, and engagement campaigns
Execute the merchant event strategy, supporting local teams in the organization of conferences, networking events, and training sessions for merchants
Define and roll out CSR-driven merchant initiatives, reinforcing Edenred's commitment to small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) and local economies
2. Relationship Marketing
Build a global merchant engagement strategy as part of our platform approach, ensuring scalability across Edenred geographies
Develop and roll out relationship marketing programs in partnership with product teams
Establish best practices and guidelines for merchant retention, activation, and engagement campaigns
Market Positioning & Insights
Define and roll out a merchant marketing positioning framework, ensuring alignment with new Benefits & Engagement positioning and overall business strategy
Implement a merchant brand and merchant engagement tracking process (including NPS and all perception measures), in coordination with Group Strategy, Marketing and Transformation teams
Develop and implement a Merchant Insight Program to collect, consolidate, and analyze merchant feedback across different geographies identifying key pain points, areas for improvement in Edenred's merchant services and new business opportunities
Create merchant specific thought leadership
3. Institutional Communication
Collaborate with internal Public Affairs and Merchant teams and contribute to initiatives that support merchant ecosystem development
Support BUs in building relationships with key merchant stakeholders and associations
Build long term vision of external merchant community management
4. Content
Collect and scale merchant content (thought leadership studies, market research, whitepapers, articles, barometers etc.) produced either by BUs at local level or by the Business Line Marketing team
5. Internal Community Management
Regularly engage with the Merchant Marketing community to foster best practices sharing, build internal benchmarks, share studies and content, organize workshops and facilitate peer-to-peer knowledge exchange
Your profile
The successful candidate would be an experienced marketing professional with a track record in the Benefits & Engagement industry and a deep understanding of merchant relationship marketing, communication strategy, content management and community engagement. She/He will define and execute a marketing roadmap that enhances Edenred's relationship with merchants and establish a growing marketing community across multiple geographies.
For this role, you will report to the Global Head of Marketing within the Benefits & Engagement Business Line, with dotted line reporting to the Business Line Merchant Director.
