OVRSEA is a next-generation multimodal freight forwarder committed to simplifying & optimizing international freight management through technology. OVRSEA provides its clients with industry expertise and high end-to-end visibility to meet their needs on sea, air, road and rail over all transport stages, from loading to customs declarations.

Founded in 2017, OVRSEA currently supports +700 clients from its offices in Paris, New York, Barcelona, Milano and will double its workforce by the end of 2022.

The Finance Team :

Your direct manager will be Hugues our VP Finance. You’ll also be working closely for example with Suzanne, our FinOps Lead, Carole our Accounting Lead, and Mathieu our CFO.

You’ll be the only person dedicated to FP&A, with a lot of autonomy on your scope.

You’ll be managing the interns in our department.

The team's challenges in 2023 :

Monitore and update our Growth Trajectory for 2023 and after. Navigate the uncertainty of the global economic trends & the evolution of the freight market

Adapt our business planning to the international expansion in the new markets we launched and will launch

Leverage our FP&A tool (Pigment) as the common tool for predictive analysis within the company.

Put in place processes to quickly adapt our recruitment plan to performance & market trends, in relation to other (Sales teams, Operation teams, HR teams) in order to unify the prediction process.

What is it like being FP&A Manager at OVRSEA ?

You’ll be working with the newest & most efficient tool on the market: Pigment.

You’ll build our processes in business & financial planning, a key function that is evolving super quickly within the company.

You’ll be very close to the business, you’ll collaborate closely with Managers across all functions to gather their needs, challenge them and incorporate them in the budget.

You’ll be responsible for all the financial planning at OVRSEA.

Your assignments will be divided into 4 parts :

1) Elaborating our budget on a yearly & quarterly basis :

You’ll talk to all managers across the company and translate the business needs and hypothesis in financial forecasts. You’ll create and improves the processes to improve the collaboration between business and FP&A, leveraging the most recent FP&A tools and practices.

2) Prepare all board & internal meetings materials :

You’ll prepare all the strategic documentation for meetings with the team or our shareholder to share KPI and analysis. You’ll be exposed to all the strategic challenges OVRSEA is facing.

3) Ad hoc analysis :

You’ll be running analysis on specific topics, put in place KPI and analyse them, and help us better understand our business

4) Other projects such as TamOps :

You’ll also participate in projects to improve the performance of the recruitment team thanks to processes implementation & KPI analysis & monitoring

  • You have gone through internships & 0-2 professional experience in a highly demanding environment
  • You have an analytical mind, you’re very confortable with figures, you’re an expert on excel, working in multidimensional environment and learning Pigment will be easy for you
  • You have a strong business sense, you understand the business needs and know how to translate them into financial hypothesis
  • You are able to understand other teams needs and pains. You are caring and subtil enough to match our FP&A goals with other teams constraints.
  • You are able to create crystal clear & structured documents, explaining complex ideas simply
