About the role

Yassir is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Scientist to join our team and contribute to

our dispatch and dynamic surge projects. As a Data Scientist, you will play a crucial role in

analyzing and leveraging data to optimize our dispatch system and manage dynamic surges

effectively. Your expertise in both data analysis and software development will be essential in

driving improvements and providing valuable insights to our stakeholders.

Abour your role as Data Scientist


    • 1.Data Analysis and Modeling:

  • Analyze large and complex datasets to identify patterns, trends, and correlations related to dispatch and dynamic surge operations.
  • Develop predictive models and algorithms to optimize dispatch processes and dynamic surge management.
  • Implement statistical analysis techniques to gain actionable insights and recommend data-driven strategies.

    • 2.Software Development and Coding:

  • Design, develop, and maintain software solutions that support data analysis and modeling tasks.
  • Collaborate with software engineers to integrate data science algorithms into our existing systems.
  • Ensure code quality, scalability, and efficiency of the developed solutions.

    • 3.Optimization Algorithms:

  • Develop and implement optimization algorithms to improve dispatch efficiency, reduce wait times, and enhance resource allocation.
  • Work closely with the operations team to understand business requirements and translate them into algorithmic solutions.
  • Continuously evaluate and refine existing algorithms to achieve better results and adapt to changing business needs.

    • 4.Stakeholder Communication:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, operations, and business stakeholders, to understand their requirements and provide data-driven insights.
  • Effectively communicate complex analytical findings and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders using clear and concise slideware presentations.
  • Participate in meetings and discussions to gather feedback, address concerns, and align data science initiatives with business goals.

    • About your experience


    • 1.Educational Background and Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field such as OR, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience working as a Data Scientist, preferably in the transportation, logistics, or on-demand service industry.
  • Strong background in data analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning techniques.

    • 2.Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Scala, Python and R, with the ability to develop efficient and scalable code.
  • Experience with data visualization tools and libraries (e.g., Matplotlib, Seaborn, Tableau) to effectively communicate results.
  • Familiarity with optimization algorithms and their implementation for resource allocation and operational efficiency.
  • Knowledge of database systems and SQL for data extraction and manipulation.

    • 3.Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills:

  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities to extract meaningful insights from complex datasets.
  • Ability to identify and apply appropriate statistical and machine learning techniques to address specific business challenges.
  • Solid understanding of experimental design, A/B testing, and hypothesis testing.

    • 4.Communication and Collaboration:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey technical concepts and findings to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Proven experience creating clear and visually appealing slideware presentations tocommunicate complex analyses.
