The position

Job description

The main tasks of an Associate at XAnge are:
• Sourcing of investment opportunities
• Sourcing review with our corporate partner
• Conducting proactive deep dives on 3-4 topics a year
• Maintaining a strategic network of dealflow sources (business angels, incubators, other funds,…)
• Deal flow analysis and selection of investment opportunities in France and Benelux.
• Presenting several opportunities with key elements at our Monday meeting
• Deep dive in investment opportunities with a Partner/Principal: meeting with entrepreneurs, due diligence with experts, preparation and presentation of memos in front of the investment committee
Deal making
• Management of the internal investment process at the corporate VC fund
• Deal making: LOI negotiation, due diligence, audits, legal documentation, relation with back and middle office
Deal following and exit
• Deal following: Board preparation, internal reporting, support to the startup (budget, business plan, fundraising, recruitment …), relationship with our corporate partner
• Deal exit: managing the exit process, legal documentation, closing,…
Transversal tasks
• XAnge ambassador in startup events and media
• Coordination with our corporate partner for startup events, meetups,…
• Transversal tasks related to the company management: intern recruitment, management and training, LP and startup success, fundraising, marketing …

The objective is to become an “autonomous” investor (i.e Principal) in 1 to 3 years

Preferred experience

• Master’s in business management or an engineering degree
• 1 to 5 years of relecvant experience in startups or the VC industry
• Team player
• Good understanding of digital industries and its business model
• Curious about tech
• Strong analytical skills and data driven mindset
• Empathy and capacity to listen
• Integrity with critical thinking
• Good writing/oral skills with a synthetic mindset
• Agile with digital tools (we love Pipedrive, Trello, Notion, Airtable and Zapier !)
• Fluent in English and German
