Job description

Join a team of about 15 passionate backend developers and bring your energy to:

● Collaborate with the product team to specify and plan upcoming features
● Contribute to technical evaluation and specification of upcoming features
● Implement new features using the best practices
● Correct bugs because nobody is perfect!
● Review the code of your teammates to keep the project clean and share knowledge

What would make this job opportunity a great career move for you?

● You like challenging tech projects. 100% of our senior developers, coming from top tech companies, give us the same feedback: Worldia’s platform is a pretty challenging playground
● You will work with up-to-date stack based on PHP 8.0, Symfony 5.4, API Platform, MySQL, RabbitMQ, Redis, Kubernetes, Docker and our CI/CD pipelines using GitLab. Have a look at Christian’s & Hwa-Seon’s short video on WTTJ (https://youtu.be/kFJFKbmaYFQ) to get all the info!
● Are you ready and excited about tackling a new feature development? We like proactive, autonomous and problem solver minded developers
● You want to contribute to scaling the tech team. We are divided into several feature teams. So much to build still !
● You are interested in flexible working mode: open to full remote, hybrid on-site/remote

Be reassured: the onboarding process has been redesigned to fit the current full-remote situation and make you feel welcomed!

Preferred experience

3 years of working experience using PHP and ideally Symfony framework (alternatively previous experience in software development)
● Ability to communicate in English (all tech meetings are in English)
● Agile project management experience (we are following the Scrum methodology)
● Mindset: autonomous, proactive, problem solver, adaptable (eager to work in a fast growing environment), and team spirit
● DevOps awareness and curiosity

If you have a GitHub, a personal website or projects to share, we would love to have a look.

  • A technical test done at home - about 3 hours

  • A technical interview ending with a 30-minutes live coding session with Laetitia, the engineering manager, and a back-end developer to evaluate your hard skills and the way you operate - 1:30 hour
