The position

Job description

You will actively contribute to the design, development, and production of acoustic cabins. Working closely with the Senior Product Design Engineer, who oversees the user experience, you will play a crucial role in the initial phases of product design. With a specific emphasis on ensuring the optimal user experience in acoustic cabins, your responsibilities will involve designing the structure, functionality, mechanical solutions, and prototypes for the product.

Main missions:

Development of new features: Propose a new way of using the cabins for our users.

  • Use of 3D and CAD for design.

  • Full project management from A to Z: Sourcing specific elements, contacting suppliers, benchmarking, writing specifications, simulation, user testing, prototyping (via Fablab or with our suppliers), compliance testing.

Detailed Responsibilities:

  • Participation in product design phases, involving reflection, drawing, and the use of CAD software.

  • Conducting 3D simulations: Realistic rendering calculations to create 3D images.

  • Sourcing suppliers (factories, wood, metalwork…): Conducting benchmarks and demonstrating proficiency in handling calls.

  • Identifying and proposing new ideas for cabin accessories, showcasing a creative mindset.

  • Designing additional parts to enhance our cabins, using CAD software such as Fusion 360, SolidWorks. Drafting and dimensioning.

  • Life cycle analysis with an eco-friendly approach.


Preferred experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with a specialization in design, ergonomics, or eco-design.

  • Fluent in both French and English, both in speaking and writing.

  • Possession of a valid driving license.

  • Demonstrated experience in various team roles during a project, including positions such as CAD specialist, executive, and team leader.

  • Proficient in CAD (Computer-Aided Design)

  • Effective communicator: Comfortable making phone calls to suppliers in both French and English.

  • Solution-driven mindset

  • Handyman/Handywoman skills

  • Curiosity about design and interior design, with a desire to learn new skills

  • Concern for environmental issues
