Job description

Wooclap is a cutting-edge engagement platform trusted by leading education institutions like Polytechnique, HEC or Université Paris Cité and by major companies such as Dior or Vinci.

We are looking for a Product Designer to join our Learning Experience Squad and help build on our pedagogical value. You’ll focus on our live experience and the learning features that support it, working hand in hand with the squad’s Product Manager.

The Learning Experience Squad is responsible for Wooclap’s pedagogical relevance, focusing on how users interact with their audience and deliver value to both.

You will partner with the squad’s Product Manager and Engineering Manager and collaborate with a cross-functional squad (Front-end, Back-end, Design, Data). You will report to our Senior Product Designer.

Responsibilities

  • Create impactful and engaging solutions using user research, sketching and prototyping, while accounting for the variety of ways our users experience Wooclap and the constraints specific to teaching.

  • Contribute to project scoping and problem framing thanks to your design expertise and focus on both user needs and technical constraints.

  • Validate and improve your designs by doing user tests and by challenging your hypotheses with the rest of the team.

  • Work hand in hand with the product manager, developers, and our customer-facing teams to improve how users derive pedagogical value from our product.

  • Drive our visual identity forward thanks to appealing designs and well-crafted micro-interactions.

  • Be an active member of our design team, by taking part in design critiques and contributing to our design system’s implementation and evolution.

Preferred experience

  • 3+ years working as a Product Designer in a SaaS environment, ideally in the EdTech industry.

  • Strong UI/UX skills, with a sensitivity to the quality of experience, and an emphasis on interaction design & user delight.

  • Analytical skills and an ability to conduct user research & to leverage data to inform design choices.

  • An interest/expertise in EdTech, learning mechanisms and the education field.

  • Collaborative approach, as you will work closely with product managers, developers, and customer success teams, in a remote-first environment.

  • Experience with accessibility is a plus.

  • Proficiency in both English and French (we are an English-first company).
