Front-End Developer

The position

Job description

Vulog is looking for a Front-End Developer to join us in our sunny headquarters in Nice, France!

In this role specifically, you will be in charge of designing and implementing our web applications, using the latest state-of-the-art technologies. Reporting to a Team Leader, you will work closely with other teams (i.e. Product, QA, Project, and Back-End) via agile/scrum methodology.

Your responsabilities, in a nutshell:

  • Develop new features and improve existing ones
  • Analyze product requirements and deliver high-quality solutions based on the specifications and mock-ups
  • Ensure the quality and reliability of your deliverables by implementing unit/integration tests as well as manually testing the features you deliver
  • Conduct and seek peer-review during design coding and testing
  • Work in an agile/scrum team environment to meet project objectives and deadline
  • Write technical specifications and provide detailed information for teams

Preferred experience

What we’re looking for:

Background

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Good level of English: we are an international company with international colleagues and clients

Technical Skills

  • Good knowledge of Javascript ( ES6+ ), HTML 5, CSS 3
  • Familiarity with GIT (Gitlab is a plus), Jira, Confluence, typical modern tools related to web development (npm, webpack, etc) and a modern IDE (VS Code)
  • Basic knowledge of Linux (Debian) CLI
  • Experience with React is desired but we take into consideration previous experience with other frameworks ( Vue.js, Angular)
